Fitbit Update 06/7/17: Thanks everyone for your feedback on the new Android dashboard. We have relayed this information to our Android team. This thread will now be closed, as the Android team has no plans to revert back to the old dashboard. We're always working towards making improvements to the app and appreciate your cooperation on future app updates.
Fitbit Update 05/22/2017: Hi everyone -- I've read through every post in this thread and the major feedback points and concerns can be summarized as the following:
- General disappointment with the change (no specific details provided)
- Lots of empty space/more scrolling/clicks required
- Bottom tiles don't scroll data with days
- Unable to fully customize top section with tiles from the bottom section
- Prefer linear UX design
- Difficult to read/no dark theme available
- Can't swipe between days, only able to click to scroll through days
- Can't to resize tiles
Please let me know if there's something specific that is not on this list. I have relayed this information to our Android team and at this time, it doesn't sound like there are any plans to revert access to the old Dashboard.
I know that any change is going to be a little jarring, but please remember to keep your posts respectful and on-topic, per our Community Guidelines. This thread will be better for everyone as a constructive conversation.
Fitbit Update 04/24/2017: Hi everyone -- Beginning with the release of the Android app version 2.48, the new Fitbit app Dashboard with the updated look will be fully implemented. Users will no longer have the option to switch to the old Dashboard design, so I encourage you to check it out if not already using it.
We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services and we appreciate all of the feedback we receive from our customers. We currently do not have any plans to revert this change; you can find more information about the app and how to start using it by clicking here.

@Lzabs Good luck in getting an answer we have all been waiting for an explanation for weeks and pointed out the problems back as far as November everything is being ignored - and yes there maybe a lot of negativity on here but for good reason -----IT DOESNT WORK - no matter how you cover it a turd is still a turd

@ashwolve, understood. Fitbit customer support pointed me here after I contacted them directly to report the issue. My purpose in commenting is only to add another voice to the chorus so maybe (hopefully) this very specific issue eventually makes it into the real internal fitbit issue & feature priority queue.
I'm not calling for them to scrap the entire new dashboard or to bring back the old one, just for them to fix or explain the very specific issue of date choice not applying to all tiles. It seems blatantly wrong.

@Lzabs Sorry if you though otherwise it wasn't a pop at you but more the way Fitbit have handled the whole situation -like this it and we don't care what you want or the problems it causes - I am not wholly opposed to change but there have been very valid points made by both the beta testers and general users alike and we are getting stone walled with no response or a structured response that doesn't explain anything - I made some suggestions reposted on here from a post I made back in November Message 281 of 364 is on this post and the additions I would like to see ontop of those are the ability to change background colour and the use of more colours instead of Blue - although the list is not all inclusive it may go towards people accepting a new style but not being able to chose what you see and where you see it is a big minus - take a look if you like you may agree with some of the points made

It just seems odd that you ask others to make recommendations, but won't make any of your own.

Fitbit apparently subscribes to the "Love Story" philosophy ("Love means never having to say you're sorry"), but their version is "Being Fitbit means never having to explain."

Just got Charge 2 for Mother's Day. Not compatible with S7. So disappointed it will have to be returned.

Works fine with the S7 and S7 Edge. Well, as fine as it works with any phone. What problem are you having?

It's not only the visual effect but the information contained. If you like the new dashboard, "have fun."

Ashwolfe, many are. You can always add "Fitbit compatible" to the search.

This update is horrible! Where did all my running formation go? It used to show my map, splits, and a lot more than this basic stuf. Calories and hr are not enough.
I'm really upset with this. I bought my fit bit SPECIFICALLY for this information. And now it's gone and I'm past my return date.
I loved the old dashboard. This is rediculous.

The new dashboard stinks, but that has nothing to do with having an S7. The post said it wouldn't work with an S7, which is not accurate. Pay attention to the thread so you know what is being discussed.

@NY2TX its a pity you had to go through that route and if @ErickFitbit is actually seeing all this to make a comment about violations why is he not giving us the feed back we are all craving instead of ignoring everything except the exceptions...we deserve answers and the posts that moderators have posted does not explain anything other than the fact they don't care as long as they get paid - in fact I phoned Support and not had a response in a week - I PM'd a moderator and not had a response and even sent a letter to the CEO and guess what folks............yes you got it no response (wasn't expecting one from him direct but at least his office)...the is how much they care....there is a massive untapped market out there but they wont get it the way they are going.
Apparently this new dashboard was OUR CHOICE please see link https://blog.fitbit.com/heres-what-makes-the-new-fitbit-dashboard-awesome/

@ashwolve Aside from anything else, I could care less about whether the app tells me if I've been active 5 of 7 hours (or whatever it is). I live a pretty sedentary existence except for my workouts. But I've been very successful. I'm so glad that some of us were able to go back to what worked for us.
I average about 16-17,000 "steps" a day, but I don't care about steps. Do you realize how many people use a FitBit product and do not lose the weight that they need to lose because they don't change their lifestyle...they stay over weight. Why? Because exercise is too hard. Some people think that by simply using or wearing their FitBit that they will lose weight. Stop eating and sweat! That's the formula for success. I lost 1/3 of my body weight now struggle to keep my weight up!!!
As for @ErickFitbit he's under orders from the company. They made a decision to change the dashboard and he is not going to tell any of the "complainers" that he agrees with them...he has to defend the company position. Monitoring repeat posts? Funny.

RIGHT for those that ask below is a list of compatible apps that can be used in conjunction with fitbit, looking at it to get the non-information of the new fitbit dashboard you would have to download at least 3 of these apps to get anywhere near the info that you get PAST the dashboard (its just the Dashboard that's the problem) - also be aware that ALL these apps are advertised by FITBIT.
HIGHLIGHTED - is Apps Title , non highlighted is what it does
Compatible Apps , FitStar Personal Trainer - Fitness Tracking, FitStar Yoga - Fitness Tracking, Peloton - Fitness Tracking, Amazon Alexa - Other, Habit - Food & Weight, MINDBODY - Wellness, Thermos Hydration Bottle with Smart Lid - Other, MyFitnessPal - Fitness Tracking, Strava - Fitness Tracking, Weight Watchers - Food & Weight, Lose It! - Food & Weight, Walgreens Balance® - Games & Rewards, MapMyRun - Fitness Tracking, RunKeeper - Fitness Tracking, Endomondo - Fitness Tracking, SparkPeople - Fitness Tracking, EveryMove - Fitness Tracking, Fitline - Fitness Tracking, Wristband Manager - Fitness Tracking, Pact - Fitness Tracking, Tactio Health App - Wellness, DriveBit - Fitness Tracking, Fitwatchr: Advanced - Activity Tracker Food & Weight, Stridekick - Games & Rewards, Lumosity - Other, DietBet - Games & Rewards, Waterlogged - Food & Weight, FitTap - Fitness Tracking, Trendweight - Food & Weight, MyNetDiary - Calorie Counter Food & Weight, Walkadoo - Games & Rewards, Wokamon - Monster Walk - Quest Games & Rewards, LFconnect - Fitness Tracking, Running for Weight Loss - Fitness Tracking, Nudge Health Tracking - Fitness Tracking, Fitabase - Other, Dick's Sporting - Goods Wellness, VirZOOM VR Bike and - Games Games & Rewards.

@NY2TX the Moderator I believe is also supposed to relay Customer concerns back into the Fitbit Team https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-Community-Basics/Meet-the-Community-Team/td-p/35
I will quote from the above link "and make your voices heard by the larger Fitbit team"
whichever point of view he believes in is irrelevant
when we had problems about the sleep stages the Moderator was Brilliant - he relayed information both ways - took a hell of a lot of stick but remained Calm, answered questions that were directed at him, and let us know of the progress - @MatthewFitbit
Here we have had not as much as a - we hear you concerns and have forwarded them to the relevant department. or whether any of the amendments are going to be looked into to ensure EVERYONE get the benefit of the NEW DASHBOARD and not just the select few

@ashwolve The "complainers" here are a small minority of all of the FitBit users. I'd bet that most of the users fail at their weight loss goals. That's not just FitBit, but for all fitness wearables. Companies like FitBit make money off of the promise of weight loss.
As for me? My daughter gave me my first Flex. Since then the company has continued to replaced any of the devices that have stopped working. Aside from my sweat and hard work, I have nothing invested. Once I resolve my hip issues and assuming that I get back to competitive walking, I'll buy a Garmin, not so much because I dislike FitBit, but because I need to upgrade to a sports watch and I refuse to invest money in a company like FitBit that does what it does. My general feeling is that they became market leader because they were first to market, not because they had the better product. I've always believed that their product quality and quality control was "lacking."

people who post on forums in general are a small minority of product owners. But the overwhelmingly negative response to the dashboard change should still tell Fitbit something. I had an exchange with a moderator months ago in which he said to me "everyone thought a new dashboard was a great idea, but now no one is using it." Fitbit knew how many people tried the "preview" of the new dashboard, and how many stuck with it. They knew few people stuck with it, but forced us to use it anyway. That shows their contempt for their users.

BobM2, I don't know why that seems odd. My original post asked if anyone has found one they like. I haven't or I would recommend it. THus my lack of recommendation.
