Nexus 6P - Widget and Dashboard different

I have used Mobile Track with my Nexus 6p since it has been available. I tried to join a challenge and after a day, my steps still showed as zero. Upon more investigation, here's what i found. I have the widget on my home screen of the phone. This appears to be the most accurate recording of my steps. When I open the app, the daily steps there are never the same as the widget I just left. They have been consistently a lot more. Additionally after collecting steps all day (inaccurate as it is) they get zeroed out by the next day. Today, for example, the widget reads 665, which seems right based on the morning. I enter the app. My dashboard says 6830 steps today. When I pull up the weekly screen, it has 6,830 for today and zeros for every other day. The same thing happened yesterday. I deleted data for the app, cleared cache, Un-paired and repaired my phone yesterday and today it's doing the same thing.

Any thoughts or anybody else experiencing the same thing?

Thanks for the reply. I think this is the 3rd time this has happened with an app update in the 18 months I've had my Nexus 6P and MobileTrack has been an option. It usually gets fixed after a few weeks, it's just really annoying to lose weeks of step data at a time. I've got a smartwatch, so a fitbit on my wrist would be too much.

And an app update after more than a month....and it didn't fix the problem.

My phone hasn't saved a day's steps to my FitBit account since April 5th. I guess they decided they want us to buy a tracker from them.

@myriad46,

Besides the issue stated in your post, how did you like using the Mobile Track on the 6P?

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

Sorry. Just realized I never responded, @WavyDavey. It's been fine, and I
don't even think about recording my daily steps. Once last year, they
updated the app and broke MobileTrack. The next update fixed it. This time
it's been months. It just sucks, when you get used to it, then you have a
huge gap in your data. I was surprised when they created the feature, but
it's now clear the priority it represents. What do you expect for free,
right? Oh well.
