No GPS display after a ride

ot back from a ride this morning and synced my Ionic to find that when displayed in the app I have no GPS track. In the app I usually get map, speed, HR, calories, impact & recent but today no map, speed or recent. I have reinstalled the app and it is still the same. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Hi @MarkH68, good to see you around in the Fitbit Community one more time. My apologies for the late response and thank you for sharing some screenshots of your exercise.

 

I'm wondering how are you tracking the exercise? Is this directly with your Fitbit Ionic or are you using the Fitbit app feature: MobileRun? Also, let me know how it goes? Is the issue persisting on a daily basis?

I was tracking the ride via my Ionic and then uploaded it when it was synced. It also didn't auto sync with Strava like it normally does. It has happened a few times before in the last 5 months but normally it works ok

It happened again tonight on my commute home. It doesn't show a map in the android App but does on the online desktop ???

Hello @MarkH68 good to see you around and thank you for keep me posted. I'm sorry for not being around lately. I'm wondering how it goes this issue? Were you able to see your map course that wasn't in your Fitbit app, but it was on your online Dashboard?

 

Certainlyt this is an unexpected behavior, that might be related to a delay to compile your information on your Fitbit app though.

 

There is a new version of the Fitbit app for Android gradually releasing to all our users that contain some new features and stability improvement that might be of you help if the issue is persisting. For more details please refer to this post.

It has happened a few times since

Hello @MarkH68, thanks for the screenshots and I'm sorry for the late response. I was just wondering how it goes? Did the update help you to address this issue with your GPS maps?

 

I found reports that in occasions this might be a glitch affecting your maps, causing the map doesn't display the full route. As you mentioned in your first post, this will only affect the map, but not your data and if this issue still is happening, rest assured this is an issue under investigation.
