Charge 2 had been sending notifications like a champ until the app updated to version 2.58 last Wednesday. It still syncs but  will not notify of a phone call, a text message or calendar at all. I had come to depend on those, so this is a problem.

I have restarted the phone, uninstalled & reinstalled the app, toggled Bluetooth again and again. No dice.

So, Fitbit: Please undo what you did and will out a new update!

And, just like that, the problem is fixed! Fitbit rolled out an update to 2.58 (still reads 2.58 in the Android App settings screen) and my notifications are back. Fixed itself almost instantly!

Thanks, Fitbit, for the fast turnaround!

@Scott_, I thought the most current version of the Android app was 2.57.1 - do you have 2.58?

For notifications, ensure that they have not been disabled on your Charge 2 tracker - Press & Hold the side button for about 3 seconds to toggle Notifications from Off to On.

@USAF-Larry: According to Android system settings, my version is 2.58. If you are at an earlier version and have the ability to skip an update, I think I would until they get this all sorted out.

I did check on my Fitbit and notifications are turned on. The way I figure, Bluetooth is a wiggly quilt-work kind of thing. Most of the problems I have had over my history with Fitbits and other Bluetooth gadgetry come down to conflicts between the application and device. It seems as simple little tweak somewhere in the code makes Bluetooth seize up.

Luckily, this is just a problem with Notifications -- not syncing. I can sync and keep up with my stats, just can't get notifications, no matter if it's a text message, phone call or a test notification.

Then we will return our Fitbit to the store. It is useless to us. Not able to connect it to the phone.
