Not Showing Sleep Scores in the Fitbit app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

A few weeks ago a new area in the sleep log had an place for Sleep Scores. I found where to turn on this feature and have turned it on but for two weeks it shows the score category but never actually posts a score. Is there something I need to do for my scores to start posting?

I have found not using the app to record my sleeping patterns has allowed me to get a sleep score every night. I just sync app and Fitbit every morning and it automatically updates sleep details including a sleep score.

It started working again, it was just the one night, must have been a glitch. I was just hoping it wasn't an app update that was going to stop giving a score 🙂

Yep I’ve never used the app to begin sleep recording. Just sync in the morning.

Fingers crossed it’s all ok now

just had a big update which took 30 mins to install so hoping this will fix the glitches

Mine still has odd nights with no data results but mainly it’s ok.

Hope yours continues to behave !

Yes, me too. I stopped telling the app “I’m going to bed now” and am getting sleep scores. The only thing is, sometimes it doesn’t register that I’m sleeping until an hour or two after I’ve closed my eyes.

I've never told it I'm going to sleep or set a schedule. All I've ever done is sync it in the am and see what kind of day I'm about to have hahaha..... but yeah just one day all it said was the number of restless times and total sleep time. But it's good too go now! 🙂 thanks y'all!

Sleep scores appeared first day I used the Fitbit in the app. I was then prompted to switch to premium to continue with the feature. I did this even though I think it is complete BS. I have never been able to receive scores again. Logging out and back does not help.

Hi Wpazos

if you haven’t already read back this thread. Quite a lot of suggestions which solve the issue.

My problems started when I signed up for the free 3 month premium trial. My husband has the same Inspire HR and didn’t sign up for the premium and has had no problems whatsoever.

I think the issue is with the software. Since updating mine is ok but it took several small updates to sort it.

If you get no joy I would suggest raising a case with Fitbit. I contacted via the help feature with no success. After posting on their  Facebook page (UK & Ireland) I quickly received a response.

Hope you get a solution soon

Hi Rufus

if you’ve read through this thread and tried everything then I can only suggest you contact Fitbit.

Mine is back to working fine. There has recently been an update which took around 30 minutes to complete. Have you had that ?

I firmly believe it was a software issue which caused my problem

Good luck

I have not been getting any sleep scores since August 9th. I got sleep scores July 01-09. Then nothing, and then magically started working again August 01-09. Nothing since. Also strange that The same 9 days of both months I got sleep scores then nothing. No change in wear or anything. I tried all the troubleshooting tips/tricks, uninstalled, reinstalled app, deleted from bluetooth and resynced again. I've never used the sleep now function. I received an update on August 10th, I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I received one a few days ago as well and didn't fix it. Before July 9th, I very rarely had no sleep score. I have a charge 2 (3 years old in December) and use it mostly for sleep tracking, but it works great otherwise still. I have been wearing it more to try to rule out if my fitbit is failing, the only issue is with sleep. I see people with the same problems in the sleep well forum, sleep score randomly disappearing and not coming back or coming back randomly then disappearing again. Was considering an upgrade in the upcoming months, but now I'm not so sure. Fitbit support on twitter only sent me a troubleshooting link and said have a nice day, discouraged to try again, so just waiting to see if they pop back in on September 1st. Not sure what else I can do than to wait and see and then try to contact again or just give up.

I wear mine all the time. I still don’t use my app to log sleep and have had sleep scores every day for a month. I did an update about a week ago and it has made no difference to sleep score - no complaints. You mentioned you are going to try and wear it more - perhaps that’s the issue? Mine even records my occasional afternoon nap lol! No sleep score of course as too short a time frame !!

Mine was that way too, updated weeks ago then last week it just stopped.. except for on occasional naps. I have tried everything suggested nothing helps.. calling them is pointless.. the person couldn't speak English.. and didn't understand me.

Solved... I think. I stopped using the App to “turn on” sleep mode. I simply sleep and the scores magically appear in the morning. The Fitbit automatically registers I’m asleep. Regards.

I have been with fitbit since 2018. All was fine and then all of a sudden I stopped getting a sleep score. the only thing I get is .....Couldn't get a consistant heart rate while sleeping. I have recently had a heart cath and all is perfect. I have all of the take out, upgrades and take out and put back. I even let a friend use it one night. She got a sleep score. So why do I not? Nothing in my life has changed. I really love getting a score ad do miss it. Could it no longer be compatable to me? I would love to know.

Same thing here, nothing changed and I tried everything. I also started to wonder if it was me, as I've had times with heart racing on and off. I randomly got a score today, but don't expect it to be consistant, as I seem to get them a few days during the beginning of the month and then nothing the rest of the month, even with no change in lifestyle or wear. A few going back and forth with twitter support, finally got a ticket made, but was brushed off. They only said that I was out of warranty and offered a 30% discount in the next 30 days. They don't seem to care that it started after an update in July, nor that my fitbit works perfectly otherwise, they wouldn't even look into it being a possible software update because I was out of warranty. (Warranty is only 1 year, and I got my Charge 2 in Dec 2017). It was like "hey sorry you're having problems, we can't even look into any issue for you because you're out of warranty but hey, I know you're in a pandemic and money might be tight right now but here's a 30 day discount on a product) 😞 I sent an email back saying that when I'm in the position to get another product I will consider other brands first if I don't see any change in the forums about these issues. After that I got a sleep score lol. Coincidence I'm sure, as I expected a sleep score soon, since mine seem to be consistent with a couple at the beginning of each month and then nothing. Its a frustrating problem they don't seem to acknowledge, at least for some.

I have the same problem.  I got a versa light on 8/16 and the sleep scores worked for about a week.  Now no sleep score.  I read all the reasons why it might not be working and not one suggestion is something that would be the reason.  I thought that maybe a 'reboot' was what I needed but I am not sure how I would do that.  Do I do it on my phone, just log out and then log in again?
