Not receiving notifications with Motorola Moto Z3

RE: Fitbit Versa, Moto Z3, Android 9

 

I understand this is posted several times (over a year old) and wanted to see if there is anything newer on this problem.  I have had this Versa for 3 weeks and most of the time if the area is apart far enough, the link does not reestablish with the phone for texts/calls notifications. This indicates the phone needs to be with it at all times otherwise.  Also, when it is needing recharging it sometimes drops the link and is not easy to reconnect.  This is Android 9, and I have tried several tricks others suggested on the old pages.  Is there something in particular we have to fix this link issue?   Moto Z does show on the list of working phones.  

 

I have uninstalled it on phone, installed app on computer, reinstalled on phone to try that trick, did not work.

i have reset phone numerous times, reset bluetooth, reinstalled the Android App, no luck.  

I have reseated it in power (while on home WIFI) and removed it numerous times, Versa still does not get the calls/texts

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, thanks for all the information and details that were shared in your post, sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your Fitbit and the Motorola Moto Z3. Let me share with you that the Motorola Moto Z is compatible, however the Z3 is not currently listed as a compatible device with our products and services.

 

Because of this, you may encounter certain connectivity difficulties with both devices such as the ones that you're currently experiencing. Even though your mobile device is not compatible, I recommend you to take a look to our help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Charge 2 are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
