Not receiving text notifications with Samsung Galaxy 10

Ok so I'm not sure what happened but both my wife and I cannot receive notification from text messages on our fitbit devices. I have run through every fix on this site and on other including youtube. Is there an issue the Latest Fitbit or Samsung update? It weird they both just quit working at the same time and it's the same problem.

Hi @Michaelwhir83, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting are appreciated. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this inconvenience? Are you not receiving text notifications only or phone call notifications as well? Also, which mobile device are you using? The Samsung Galaxy S10, A10 or Note 10?

If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I received my Charge 3 around Christmas 2019 and have never received text messages or email to my Charge 3. I do receive news app messages though.

I did try to reset the app and the device as outlined in the post. So far nothing has worked. Please advise. Thanks.

Ok for some reason it has to be with the latest update of the messaging app on the galaxy or something. I can go in turn notifications off and back on and get it to work for a short time then it stops working again. She uses the versa 2 and I use the charge 2. Mine only works on new messages now and if there is a message sent after that it wont work. Calls work on both. It's just the messages. I tried all those steps on the pages also and nothing helped. Just the same situation.

I received the Versa Lite for Christmas, and after day 3, it stopped working, and would continue to restart. Exchanged for a new one, and I'm not able to receive text notifications either! About to take this back and bite the bullet in a Samsung watch...

I'm having the same problem on my s10 as of yesterday.   I've done all the steps,  even rebooted my Fitbit.   It will only give me a delivery notification but no texts.   Very frustrating as I just bought this a week ago

I had the same issue...spent HOURS going through the entire setup options... then I read there was a compatibility issue with Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and my Ionic and not receiving text messages but all other app notifications...I didn't give up....I simply downloaded Google's text messaging app and guess what....I'm finally getting all my text messages! I hope this helps anyone who still might be having this issue!

@RicardoFitbit Any word on when Fitbit will have this corrected/updated? It has been an issue for a month for many many users... and nobody seems to want to give out an ETA on this fix... If people, including myself, do not get a fix VERY soon, or at least a timeline for a fix, i believe many people will be ditching their fitbit for a competitors smartwatch tracker... please give an ETA. thank you

I'm in the same frame of mind on this issue. The eta on a fix has to be given. Or I will start looking elsewhere also where I can get the service I paid for.

I have the Galaxy 8 and having the same issues. I noticed it yesterday and have been trying hard to fix it to no avail .I've done everything they say to do and nothing helps.

Fitbit does need to be held accountable for an ETA on the note 10 text messaging incompatibility but in the meantime I found a workaround as I previously mentioned.... use the Google messaging app instead of the default Samsung text messaging app....I'm getting all my text messages! I actually like this Google text app better...lol...or don't and continue not to receive text on your Fitbit!🤷🏾‍:female_sign:🤷🏾‍:female_sign:😊

I have the s10 and not the note 10 and neither the versa 2 nor the charge 2 work with it.

Ohh! I have Note 10+ and the Ionic... everything was working except I was not receiving my text message notifications on my Ionic....I switched the messaging app to Google messages and problem fixed...no issues now... sounds like we have different issues though.... best of luck!

I'm getting tired of running through all of these "help" lists only to have it not work. IMO there are enough of us complaining, I'd think Fitbit would care. Apparently not. Which is sad. If I'd wanted a plain watch that's what I would have purchased.

Guess I'll start looking at different watches.
