Hi, have you had a resolution to this issue yet please? Mine is brand new, got notifications for a day and now it only recieves phone calls.
Thank you
Nichola
I had issues not getting text messages on my Versa 2. I did everything from uninstalling the app, un-pairing and adding my device multiple times, then I made sure every single notification setting on my S10 and the app was turned and I was doing all these thing with the pre installed Samsung messaging service. I then switched to the messaging service "Signal" which is a private messaging service meaning that it's private so long as you don't give third party services permission to view your messages. Once I switched to Signal I went into my fit-bit app and then to my notifications setting to pick messaging services and picked "Signal" re-synced my device and voila just like that my texts have been working ever since.
In conclusion it seems to me that the Samsung messaging service and the push notifications don't make it to the fitbit but i would always get delivery notifications on my fitbit when I sent a message from my phone. I also would like to share that i have noticed that a lot of people have been using google messaging service and either have or haven't had success, to that I don't know, but I personally (WARNING: THIS IS MY OPINION) refuse to "WILLINGLY" give google access to every detail of my life. Keep in mind that the downside to android is that they are third party havens for companies trying to mine for data on every detail of our lifes so that they can "tailor meaningful content and advertising" google being the leader of the pack. Signal doesn't give access to messages unless you give permission to those asking and if another person uses Signal and the two of you message each other the messages are secured with end to end encryption which means if someone or something were able to retrieve your messages they would not be able to be read because of encryption. But I digress no I don't work for Signal, and Im not Edward Snowden but I do now he uses Signal for his text messaging service, and now my VERSA 2 is receiving messages and I'm able to speak my responses to my device and it's pretty accurate too. I hope this helps someone
Best AnswerI'm soooo annoyed with Fitbit, I really like the watch, but I've gone through 2 that did not last a year and now I'm out of the replacement time frame. You spend close to 200 dollars on a device that doesn't even last a whole freaking year. I'm highly disappointed, looks like I'll be getting a Galaxy Active2. I'm willing to pay the extra money for a premium build.
I dont even know why it's taken this long to begin with
What google plus app? You link your fitbit to a particular google app? Your notifications are working since switching to Google plus?
Best AnswerHey there
To put a different spin on this issue, I just upgraded my phone from Samsung S8 to Samsung S10. I followed the "Fitbit app > profile > setup new device". On the whole all is working except SMS notifications, tonight I've followed the support pages to troubleshoot and to reset the device (ie: reset notifications, reset bluetooth, resetup device!).
All to no avail. Test call notification and phone calls come through...
Any ideas?
