Fitbit Update: 1/15/2020

 

Hello, Android users!

 

We've been seeing a lot of you that recently have upgraded to Android OS 10 report that you're now having difficulty receiving notifications to your Fitbit watches. 

 

I've merged many posts together and we've escalated the issue to our developers to investigate.

I am having problems with the touch screen. It is not moving from the main screen.

I downloaded Google Messages and my versa 2 is working great!  Download it....

I have never had a problem with my fitbit before now. And it isn't so much
the messages, more so the screen will not change from the main clock screen.

it isn't so much about the msgs. It is more so that it wont let me go to any other screen except the main clock screen.

I'm not very tech savvy. Guess I would call fitbit and talk to them.

My notifications started working today again out of the blue . Hopefully it is fixed. Fingers crossed.

I have an S10 and use the Messages app (not the S10 default). It worked fine until about 3 weeks ago, stopped working, and worked briefly last Saturday night the 25th before stopping again. I tried switching to the Google texting app and again it worked only briefly. I have tried every fix I see suggested and nothing has worked. Arggggh. 

 

And someone else I know is going through the very same issue with her new Fitbit. Not the same device as mine and an IOS operating system. It has to be a Fitbit problem!

Well I'm not sure Fitbit keeps saying they are working on it! It's been a
month and it hasn't been fixed!

I am in the same boat....I amabout ready to make a return and get something that will let you receive text messages.  I find it strange that i can receive calls and calendar alerts,  but no text messages! Frustrated!
