I have a notification from Fitbit stating "Fitbit Sync Service - Last Synced: MM/DD/YYYY XX:XX AM"
With three buttons labeled SYNC CHALLENGES ACCOUNT
I can't seem to get this notification to clear from my notification bar. Using a Pixel 2.
The only thing that seems to work is disabling the Keep-Alive Widget. However I'm not sure what else that effects. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the image @Macjr2 and thank you for joining us @jean54. Indeed, I kept reviewing your concerns after I posted my reply and I came across with the following information.
I wasn't sure to be honest, since this is not happening with my phone; but I wasn't aware since my Android version is not that new. So I have edited my previous reply to avoid any confusion with the information I was providing, my apologies for this inconvenience.
With Android 8.0 (Oreo), note that Google changed the way you’re notified about your apps that are running in the background. If you have this version on of Android you’ll receive a Fitbit Sync Service alert on your phone to inform you that the Fitbit app is working in the background.
@Macjr2 You are correct by disabling the Keep alive widget this notification stop showing in the status bar of your phone and by disabling this widget should not have effect on other features beside the notifications.
You can find more details in the following help article: Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other question.

This is what I'm seeing. The only other work around I've found is to disable "Sync Service" in the app notifications through my phone's App Settings. That button is located in the background of my screen shot.

I understand the function of this notification, but I don't want it permanently on my notification screen. How do I clear it?
