Notifications not showing on phone

Hello everyone! So I get notifications on my charge 3 but not on my phone. For instance if someone comments on my Instagram my watch vibrates but my phone doesn't show any indication I have a comment to look at. Is there a way to get them to show up on both?

I will gladly assist you with your notifications. This is dependent on your phone settings as the Fitbit app and device are working fine. Please go to Settings then look for notifications and see how it is configured. Make sure to make changes so it shows on your lock screen and display banners. If you have more questions please refer to your phone's manual.

Thank you for your reply. I have checked my phone and all the settings are set to allow notifications to show on the task bar, banners and the lock screen. What I should have said in my first question is that my phone shows the notification for a split second but then goes away as soon as my fitbit vibrates. So the notifications are on they just disappear before I can even look at them or click on them. Also on my fitbit when I click open on my notification nothing happens. It used to open it on my phone but it doesn't any longer.
