Notifications showing the same contact ID

When l get a call or message on my phone my fitbit Alta used to identify the individual  contact sending it. It now identifies the same name irrespective of who calls or text me. How do l correct this.

To better assist you with this notifications issue, can you please let m know which Android mobile device are you using with your Alta? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? 

 

In the meantime I receive your answers, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Alta are correctly configured. After verifying this, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

It has only been since Wednesday 22nd that l have had the problem, it only occurs with phone notifications and has occurred on 3 occasions. Prior to this notifications were received normally showing the correct person who has called. My mobile is Samsung Galaxy A3.

Thanks for the details that were shared with me. To move forward with this, can you please confirm if the steps from my previous post were tried? As it turns out, your Samsung Galaxy A3 is not listed as a compatible device with our products and services, which is one of the requirements to properly receive notifications with your Fitbit. 

 

If the issue persists, I suggest you to try with a compatible device instead so we can determine if the compatibility concern is what's causing this issue.

You have said my Galaxy A3 is not a compatible device but, until recently l recieved phone, txt and calendar notifications. The problem that l started having was that the name of the caller displayed on my fitbit was not the same as the person who called. I received calendar notifications as normal. I have tried restarting the fitbit and bluetooth as suggested in information received. I had difficulty getting the fitbit to sync for a day prior to this problem starting but that resolved itself. Now l am not receiving phone or txt notifications. Not sure about calendar notifications since l have not had any set since following suggestions you sent.
