Hi everyone, hope you are well.
First time post and got an issue!
I have had a Pixel Watch 1 since Jan 23, and have had no issues with it, then approx 4-5 days ago after a treadmill session, I noticed the number of steps compared to the steps on the Andriod App did not match. This was frustrating on Thursday 5th September where despite hitting over 15k steps, my app recorded it as less then 15k, I was on a 3 week streak!
I didn't make much of the issue for the past few days, as I had the Pixel Watch 3 pre-ordered which arrived today and I've switched across.
But yet the issues continues.
Right now, this is what it is showing:
Andriod App: 13,939
Pixel Watch 3 Face: 15K
When I click on Steps on Watch: 14,979
What have I tried?:
Reboot both the phone (Pixel 9 Pro Fold) and the Watch
Delete Cache and Data on the Andriod App
Delete the app and reinstall and re-link on Andriod
Delete Cache and Data on Watch App and relink
I am at a loss now! Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

6 days ago I replaced a 25 month old Sense 2 with the Pixel Watch 3. I am using a Pixel 6 phone. I first noticed that Fitbit was missing calories, then hourly steps were complete on watch but missed on phone. Then I noticed the steps and miles were less on Fitbit. Auto sync appears to happen intermittently in a way that I have not been able to figure out. Fitbit updated to 4.26.1 today. Now the calories on both the watch and Fitbit show only the base level and nothing for physical activity at all. 3 PM I have only burned 838 calories, Evert hour shows an identical calorie count.
I was looking for what I did wrong with setup or settings. Now I can stop looking and wait for a fix.
Thank you for this informative and helpful topic and have a Terrific day!

I am also having the same issue!! I noticed the last few days where my pixel watch 2 will have a higher step count (by at least 200+) than the Fitbit app on my phone (pixel 7). I have tried manually syncing through both the app and watch, and also disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth, and nothing works. So my app step count is always lower! I haven't contacted Google support yet, but seems like I should given that it's a "known issue" and there's no known timeline for fixing it

Has anybody had any luck with getting this resolved yet? Having the same issue that a lot of you have been having with the step counts not matching between my Pixel Watch 3 and the Fitbit app on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. It refused to sync at all for a few days and I ended up disconnecting it and completely resetting the watch. It's been better today and has synced at least partially, but the app still insists on being about 400 steps behind what my watch is saying. I don't have my phone added as a connected device to Fitbit.

I'm sure this is all connected, but in addition to the problems already mentioned about syncing randomly and step counts being off, my app (ver. 4.26.1 on a Pixel 9 Pro Fold) will not bring up activity history. I can see the steps and calories pages, and go back day by day, but I can't see that I walked today on a particular route (map) or that Sunday I did two different walks.
When I hiked on Saturday on a trail my wife and I have hiked hundreds of times, the mileage and step count on my Pixel Watch 3 were way below my usual (although I couldn't check the history to be sure) and her Apple watch was closer to what we normally record (although her Apple watch and my Pixel watches, and Fitbits before that, always had different numbers than Apple, lol).
Nice to know I'm not crazy, and I guess we'll all wait for updates...

Same here Jay, app and watch off by about 400 steps, what gives, both are Google phone and watch.😤

Randomly today my watch and app are in complete sync and saying exactly the same number of steps and seems to be updating in the app pretty quickly after doing any more steps. I don't think I've seen any updates to the app or the watch, so not sure why it's suddenly decided to behave, I guess it's just in a happy mood so far today!

Hello @jayfenneysw
Thank you for letting us know that you're seeing the same number of steps on your watch and the app. That's very positive news. I'm hoping the other Pixel watch users will have a similar experience.
Personally, I suspect the data syncing issue was on Fitbit's back end, which is something that they could fix without an app update or watch firmware update.

My phone and app numbers match, but I still can't access Activity/Exercise days history in the app.
On my Pixel Watch 3, Fitbit Today won't stay loaded. If I access it from, say, steps Tile, it starts, flashes a second, then reverts to the tile. If I start it from the app menu, it starts, holds for a second or two, then closes.

@Skifellows I wonder if this might be a separate issue from what's affecting the rest of us as the symptoms seem slightly different. Have you tried doing a factory reset on the watch? I've certainly not had any issues with Fitbit loading on my watch, just with the data syncing correctly.

Hello @Skifellows
I've seen other Pixel Watch 3 users reporting that they are having problems with the Fitbit Today app on their watch. The team is aware of the issue and is working on fixing the problem. However, I haven't see a timeline for the fix.
I'll report back once I have an update to share.

@RiekoC looks like I spoke too soon. By the end of the day yesterday the app and watch were out of sync again and refused to match step counts. The app was behind, only by about 40 odd steps, but it's still not showing the correct amount which is annoying. So far this morning it's also out by about a dozen.

Hello @jayfenneysw
I've seen recent Moderator posts mentioning an app update will be rolling out in the next few days. Keep checking the Play Store for the update and install it when it's available.
Although I haven't seen that an update for the Fitbit Today app will be rolling out, keep checking the Play Store app on the watch for Fitbit Today app updates, too.

One more thing that is annoying is that the calories dont match with what I have! Literally haven't done through the entire day and it shows that I've burned 2300 calories. Is there a way to fix this? This is very disappointing
Spent so much money on a watch that doesn't give me the right data!!

After having my Pixel 3 watch for about six weeks and speaking with customer support several times, I have never been able to get it to auto-sync at all with my Fitbit app on my Google Pixel 7 phone. Multiple calls to customer service. I have finally given up. I bought a Garmin Venu 2s (smaller than the Venu 2; good for women with tiny wrists). It is everything that the Pixel Watch 3 SHOULD have been. I wish I made a different choice and didn't waste my money on a Pixel Watch 3 that is poorly integrated into the Fitbit App.

Has there bene any update on this issue? This issues still persists for my pixel watch 2 (fitbit app is on pixel 7 phone). My fitbit app step count doesn't match my watch count and is always lower!! I've tried manually syncing, restarting the watch, etc. Nothing works!

I have this issue too, Pixel 7 and Pixel watch 3. A weird thing to add: when I hit my goal of 15k on my watch, and it does the notification for that, it seems to register as hitting my goal on my streak in the Fitbit app on my phone, even if my steps stay under 15k on the phone app. I got the phone notification for hitting 15k but my final count on my phone app was 14.6k. So for yesterday mine says well done for an 8 day streak but it also says you haven't met your goal yet this week.

For the past month, my watch is always aprox 300 steps in front of the APP.
Tries everything I could, restart both phone and watch, syncing, unpair and pair without luck.

Having very similar issues for over 2 months. It seems as though Google isn't addressing the issue in the hopes of making The Fitbit app obsolete.

The recent 4.28 update that was supposed to fix this issue did not actually fix the issue. Went for a tracked run and my app and watch are out of sync, though surprisingly it's only 16 steps currently. I'm sure that gap will widen as the day goes on.
---
Interestingly the gap between my watch and app actually shrunk as the day went on and I'm ending the day with only 5 more steps on my watch than my app. While that's still not correct, it's not several hundred steps off, so I'm hopeful we're getting close to an actual resolution.
