RESOLVED 02/28/17: New Dashboard is not updating stats after sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Fitbit Update 02/28/2017: As this issue was resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 I will be closing this thread.

If you run into this issue in a new instance, please create a new post in the Android board and reference this thread. Thank you!

Fitbit Update 01/26/2017: We've just released the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.41 which includes a fix for the issue where the new Dashboard is not updating stats after sync.

Please update to the latest version of the app and let me know if the issue has been resolved for you. Looking forward to hearing your updates! Thanks for the continued patience.

Fitbit Update 11/21/2016: Some Android users who have opted-in to the new Android Dashboard redesign experience have reported that their Dashboard is not updating their steps and other stats after a successful sync.

Our Android team is aware of this issue with the preview and is currently investigating the root cause. In the meantime, I recommend logging into the Fitbit.com online Dashboard, completing a sync, and confirming that your step activity is updating in the activity log tab.

In addition, you can temporarily switch back to the old Dashboard to see instant updates. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the "Account Tab" in the new Dashboard design.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom and select the "Advanced Settings" option.
  3. Click on "Switch back to the Dashboard" button at the top.

I will be sharing status updates here, so keep an eye out for more news.

The same thing happens to me. Also be aware, the tracker (I have the Charge 2) adds steps while you drive, so you really don't know how many steps you walk a day.

@djsmith @lladyred2 @K_D @Jammer2001 I recommend checking out the suggestion for switching over to the old Dashboard I made here.

In addition, I recommend trying out the troubleshooting suggestions in this help article.

@HDoc I recommend unlinking and then relinking the MFP integration with the instructions here. Let me know if that helps!

Yes @ErickFitbit that worked and my food diary is now updating again.  I hope this and other issues are fixed before the new dashboard is rolled out to all users.

@HDoc Thank you so much for following up and letting me know that the troubleshoot helped out. Glad to hear your food diary is also back to syncing.

I've switched back to the old dashboard, after not getting my app to sync -- "All Day Sync" is absolutely not functioning, and I have to manually sync every time, and it's incredibly slow -- now how do I get rid of the obnoxious banner in red at the top?

The latest update 2.39 which I received a couple of days ago seems to have fixed the syncing issues on the new dashboard for me.

I checked the Googel Play Store and the Fitbit v2.39 is not year available for me. Apparently, it is be rolled out over time to different hosts.  I'm looking forward to seeing it, though I have never had any problems with syncing either on my smartphone nor my tablet.

@N8teGee Thanks for taking the time to update to the latest version of the app and for also taking the time to share that the update resolved the issue for you. I appreciate the feedback and your time.

@USAF-Larry 2.39 was very recently released and may not have reached all users yet. I suggest looking out for the app update as it should be reaching you soon.

I do NOT want location turned on all the time it drains battery life from my phone why is fitbit now requiring location be turned on to sync? Huge disappointment!

It's not Fitbit that's requiring location be turned on, it's Google that has the requirement that location be turned on when using bluetooth.

Fitbit has no choice, if you want to sync with an Android phone with newer OS versions , you need to have location turned on.

Went back to the old dasboard and it's still not updating.  I have logged out, restarted my phone.  I am getting very upset with this whole thing.  FIX YOUR APP.  I may go to Garmin, my boss has NONE of tjese issues all the time.

Contrary to popular belief, @DRJH, the Location Services has virtually no effect on battery drain. If you want to test that, turn on Location Services for 24 hours and use your phone as you normally would. At the end of 24 hours, open the phone's Settings, Battery, Battery Usage and look at what was using the battery during the last 24 hours - you will notice that Location Services does not even make the list. If you use the GPS, which is called by Location Services, that will use the battery, but Location Services does not.

OK but it was a good excuse till you outed me. I do not feel my location
needs to be tracked 24/7 by any one. I turn it on to use navigation that is
all.

I have not gotten  a sync in two days regardless of the interface.   I've gone back and forth several times and still cannot get it to sync
