Hi. I have just discovered this too. Until yesterday I was able to click on the vertical lines on the sleep graph (mobile Android app) and see actual times awake, restless etc
Your suggestion to press and hold doesn't work for me. I'm wondering if the recent updates to the app have affected this functionality, which I used daily.
Any solutions gratefully received as I don't really want to have to fire up my laptop every time I want more detailed info.
Many thanks
Alex

Hey cvillegram5,
Uninstall Fitbit on your phone. Then google apk fitbit 2.44 on your phone and download the file. Make sure that you have changed your phone security settings to allow installation of applications from unknown sources and once downloaded, open the file and it should install the older version 🙂
Hope that helps!!

When I first got my fitbut charge 2 the end of January of this year, I was able to click on the bars in my sleep patterns and it would give me the time I was awake or restless. Why did it stop? I liked to use the times to see if there was a pattern to my sleep and times awake or restlessness. Please put it back.

I uninstalled the latest version on all my android devices and went back to version 2.44. Now I can see the times awake/restless again! Shame on you Fitbit for such a crappy update on your app! I also have the app installed on an iPhone for work and the sleep times/awake and even times asleep show up perfectly... What's the deal? Why does it work on Apple devices and not Android?

I have a Charge HR that has worked near flawlessly for more than two years. I monitor my dashboard on a desktop which has a Windows 10 OS. I can't speak to the title/number of the update, but as of 4/5/17, my dashboard stopped giving me details about my sleep patterns at night. Before, I didn't need to click anything. A half-moon shaped diagram appeared on the sleep tile on my dashboard telling me how much total sleep I got the night before. If I clicked on the "Quick View" button below the tile, I was taken to a screen that showed each time during the night that I was restless or awake, what time it occurred and the duration of each episode of wakefulness or restlessness. On 3/22/17, another FitBit update resulted in the "Quick View" button going away and all I had to do was hover my cursor over the half moon diagram and all the blue and red lines indicating wakefulness or restlessness would appear. If I hovered over the lines, the exact time of night and length of disturbance would appear. It was perfect. I loved that! No clicks at all now! For three weeks it was perfect. Then, suddenly, two days ago, on 4/5/17, that feature completely went away. Now, the only data on my dashboard sleep tile is what time I went to bed, what time I got up and the total length of time I was in bed. In order to get to the sleep pattern details, I now have to click on the "see more" button below the tile, after which I am taken to a screen below the graph showing a month's work of sleep. Then I must click on the "today" button below that graph, and then a new screen showing the red and blue sleep disturbances appears. What a monumental hassle! How is that an improvement? And even then, nothing tells me what time of night the disturbances occurred nor how long each lasted like before. That data is completely unavailable now. I read in this forum that hovering your cursor over each red or blue line will illuminate the time and length of the disturbance, but nothing happens when I do that, whether I am holding the left mouse-click down or not. I called FitBit help yesterday and the support technician (Ed) told me to register my complaint on this forum. He said it is monitored by FitBit and that is the only way they will fix it. Right now I must perform two clicks and go to three screens in order to see information that used to be on my dashboard and required no clicks or new screens at all. And now, even with all the clicks and screens, I still do not get the detailed sleep pattern data I got before. The sleep pattern data is critical to determining sleep quality, not just sleep quantity, and is a valuable feature that I check every single day. I would like to rescind the update that occurred 4/5/17 that took away the ability to see the sleep pattern data right on the dashboard and revert to the feature that had it appear on the half moon diagram right on the dashboard sleep tile. Please help.

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all who have given info on how to restore to a previous version. I have reverted back to version 2.44 and turned off auto updates and my sleep/restless/awake times now show!!

I am also having this issue, while fitbit have acknowledged this, I don't want to have to be using an old version of the app to get the basic features for this product. Hopefully an update will fix it

Gaby T, I have found no difference between the latest and previous versions, except that the previous one allows you to see the time you were awake, restless etc. everything else is the same. I have kept the latest version on my tablet but reverted back to version 2.44 on my phone.
The latest version is a step backwards that FitBit seem unwilling to address.

Going back to the earlier version worked like a charm!
Fitbit, shame on you for taking away such a helpful feature and giving us such lame, canned answers.
I have had the Charge HR2 for a little over a month, after 2 Charge HRs came apart, and after 2 Ultas came apart. Each time I've stuck with you and forked over more money to you. There is no reason your products should not last for more than a year.
It's like the bigger you get, the more you forget about the consumer, just like almost every other company.
I'll think long and hard before buying another Fitbit product or recommending your products to others.

How do you revert back? I assume you need to delete the current version then find an earlier APK file for version 2.44?

300game - Yes that's right. If you scroll back on this thread you will see a link to download from. As you say, delete the current version first and also turn off automatic updates.

I finally gave up earlier and went back from 2.46 to 2.44 downloaded from an "apk mirror" site.
Someone on another thread I followed just linked me to this one.
I'm pretty disappointed to see that theres forced obsolescence going on here, which is clear looking at their response that somebody posted.
Fitbit actually removed the times from the graphs to make people upgrade to a device that supports the new sleep stages.
That's disgusting behaviour. If that's what I've got to look forward to when the next fitbit device is released, I think I'm still currently in the return period for my charge 2.

I ended up here after doing a google search, and currently have a Charge HR. I'd like to just voice my outrage at this change because that was one of the major selling points for the Fitbit back when i got a Flex, and now they've clawed it back. Very disappointing Fitbit! I'll most likely be downgrading the app, and when this device finally tanks I'll go looking for a tracker that give me this information.

@ErickFitbit, what time did I wake up in the middle of the night?
Can't possibly know because I'm using Fitbit on Android!!!
"We meant to do that."
I'm useless. Click me!

@ChasPro716 you'll have to get a ruler out and measure the graph's full size, then convert that into time, then measure how far along and how wide the awake section is, then you can easily work out how long and what time it was. Simple! 😉

I don't think so, they want you to buy the functionality. Shame on Fitbit.
I am on an Android and I reverted back to 2.44 and you regain that functionality. Just make sure to turn your auto update off in the google play store or it will update back to 2.46.
