Hey, everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience. We really appreciate your cooperation while we released the Fitbit for Android app version 2.77. It has been fully released to everyone, so please go to the Google Play Store and download it as soon as you can!

Many of you that already updated have confirmed you see your real-time heart rate back in the Fitbit app and that your steps/calories are updating. I will leave this thread open in case anyone has any issues, but I hope you are all set after updating. Thanks for all your help!

Fitbit Update 8/9/18: Hi everyone. Thanks for taking the time to report this issue here on the Android forum. I've passed your reports along to our engineering team so they can begin investigating. From what I've gathered, this issue is app specific and not affecting the Fitbit web dashboard (which is correctly showing all activity data as expected). To keep thing organized, I've merged several threads to this one.

I appreciate your patience and am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. In the meantime, I welcome you to continue sharing your experiences here. In the meantime, you can view your current stats on the Fitbit web dashboard by logging into your account at fitbit.com

When I hear something new, I'll be sure to update the thread with the latest info. Robot Happy

I just re - installed version 2.68 and everything is working again. The problem is definitely the new update. If you really need to,  search for the older version on the internet and downgrade as necessary.

I also have the difficulty. And I have followed the canned message directions, community directions, forum directions, and online search directions. Not syncing unless connected to my computer via the charging cord. The moment I take it off the cord and put it on my wrist, the charging stops. I've had every type of fitbit and every one has failed! Why did I spend 300 dollars on the Ionic?  Ugh.  That much money on something that worked just for a while?

Please give actual help, Fitbit.

After the update to ver 2.76.1 my dashboard syncs every time I maximize it (after switching out to another app such as Facebook or Sirius) and my real-time heartrate has stopped registering on my phone app even though it is working properly on my tracker. I use the Fitbit app’s HR display while on the treadmill.

I used the UptoDown site with no problem. Just searched for Fitbit 2.68 as Riverbear suggested.

My Samsung saved it in my downloads. Uninstalled the new app and installed the old app, all better now!

Mine is going the same.  Steps say 0 till the next day then it shows the steps for the last day and the new one says 0.  My Widget shows the steps but when I click it to open the app it says 0.

My Fitbit shows my steps.  By widget on my Samsung S8 Active shows my steps.  When I open the Fitbit app, it sometimes shows my steps but when it syncs it goes to 0 and stays at 0.  The next day, on my list of steps per day it shows yesterday's steps but shows 0 for the current day.  The current day is always 0.  It's very discouraging.  Please help!!!!!!

I turned off my bluetooth and location, force stopped the app, restarted my phone.  Then uninstalled the app and had the bluetooth and location off, and turned my phone off over night.  Turned it all on the reinstalled the app.  Same problem.

Update to 2.76.1 doesn't seem to have done anything at all. Whenever I switch to the app on my phone steps and calories drop to zero and then eventually update to a new value but everything then freezes at those values. I use the continuously updating figures regularly and having to force an update is not a substitute. When they make such a bad job can't they help us to reinstall the previous version whilst they solve the problem?

Sync phone app with fitbit ok and bpm etc shows new values except for step count that shows zero, actual step count as recorded on fitbit over 10,000. Log onto Dashboard on fitbit.com and step count shows correctly.

I have a Fitbit Blaze. Same problem here. Did an update yesterday and now my fitbit app on Samsung Galaxy Note 8 shows 0 steps since yesterday. Log in online from computer and tablet and all data shows up there, but not on mobile app.

I have deleted the app, restarted my phone, re-installed the app, signed in and it shows the steps, but then I go out of the app and come back and it goes back to 0. I too have sent an email to Fitbit, but no response as of yet.

I'm on Samsung galaxy S8, thought it had resolved as could see steps earlier , but has reverted to 0 steps,  yesterday's steps however are now displayed on app.
