RESOLVED: Missing calorie info when logging custom meal

Fitbit Update 10/26/2016: This issue has been fixed by updating to the Android app, version 2.36

To tidy up the Android board, I am closing this thread from further conversation. If this issue pops up again, please create a new post and reference this one. Thank you for your patience!

Fitbit Update 07/18/16: Several users have reported that they are unable to log pre-existing custom meals via the Android app, version 2.29 as the calories for the meal are missing when attempting to log. Check out my screenshots below.

I've sent the information over to our Product Specialist Team who've gotten this in front of our engineering team for further investigation. When I hear an update from them, I will make sure to share it with everyone here.

In the meantime, I suggest logging custom meals via the online Dashboard at Fitbit.com until this has been resolved.

Still not working with 2.31. This hasn't worked since 2.27 - worked fine in 2.26. When is it going to be addressed already?

Best Answer

I've almost given up on this getting fixed. I've been communicating with their customer serivce for months now!!!  I could understand better if it never worked, but it did!  It still works on the Iphone's??

I've been constantly having to install an old APK file in order to get my Custom Meals to work. I update to see if it's fixed.... it's not. So I have to uninstall the app, reinstall the old APK and wait for the next update. This is ridiculous. I never post in forums so this should attest to the gravity of this issue (in a relative sense). I'm noticing you keep posting until it's fixed go to "online Dashboard at Fitbit.com" @ErickFitbit This is a mobile app, meaning it should work when we are mobile. For a company as large as Fitbit, this should be something that is resolved within days, a week at most. months is ridiculous. I used to preach the greatness of fitbit, but this has given me a very sour taste in my mouth.

I totally agree with this. I've been working with their customer service group for months now on this. I could see if it was something that never worked but it worked fine until the last 3 software updates. I'm about ready to give up on it myself.

Installed today's release (version 2.32), then rebooted phone - no change.  This feature used to work.  I understand that sometimes you break something unintentionally when you update software, but how you cannot get it fixed after 3 (4? 5?) releases is just a head shaker.

Please tell me you're kidding me?? I can't believe this is not been fixed after all these release updates? I can see if it never worked but how can they break something that works and then not be able to fix it? Fitbit is definitely not up to par and keeping people happy.

@SunsetRunner @kiwi1254 @Tonyk I can confirm that this hasn't been resolved in the release of Android 2.32 but is still actively being worked on. I will make sure to share updates with everyone here as I receive them. Sorry for the wait but greatly appreciate everyone's patience.
