I just spent several days trying to setup the Fitbit app for my Versa phone I received for Christmas 2023. on my google phone. I finally found someone on the Best Buy Geek squad who managed to discovered that current instructions and support are out of date. I just wanted to be able to answer my phone by tapping my Fitbit.
The profile picture icon that used to be on the upper left is now on the right and the battery level indicator is in the to left. All instructions say to tap the picture not the battery icon. It never occurred to me to tap the battery icon even though it is now in the new position.
Also, the "Edit" tab to the left of Today is now a pencil icon. I think this just the tip of the iceberg a many of the tiles appear to have changed since the google login replaced Versa.

Yes @DJWT taping the top left battery icon will bring you to your account settings.
With no link to the help page that you refer to, I can not comment.
Your Versa is a hardware tracker, you log into your fitbit account, not your versa
