Anyone else had this problem / know a solution? When I search for pairable devices on my Galaxy S7, my FitBit Charge is not found. I did a restart of both the phone and the Charge with no success. Any suggestions? 🙂 Thanks!!

Hello all. I had posted before that I actually have 2 S7's and 2 charge HR's. My wifes and mine. I have been having the same issues as you all, and she has had 0 issues since receving her S7. So this frustrated me as that means it does work. Mine was spotty at best, and has not connected (nor could I get it to connect via app or computer).

I have found something that did work, and it is now working perfectly, not sure if it may help anyone else but I will put it out here.

1. I turned off the fitbit charge HR (I don't think mine has ever been turned off since December.....), you have to make sure it is truly off....... (connected via charging cable, hold button for 12 seconds, should do it)

2. Removed the charge HR from my account

3. Used app to set up a new device

4. Powered on the fitbit charge HR per app instructions (hold button for 3 seconds), you should see the fitbit symbol apear as it powers up...

5. It found my charge HR, connected synced up (took about 5 min) and has been working perfect since

I did however loose the almost 3 weeks of it not syncing up, but that is better then having to by a new tracker (sorry fitbit, with this type of issue an you not able to fix it, it would not have been a fitbit brand, you need to fix this issue and fast....)

Hope this helps anyone..

Thanks

I ended up bringing mine back to AT&T for a replacement and now mine is working. I couldn't get the old one to function with any of the support offered by Fitbit. If I have anymore problems the device will be the last. This is some of the worst support I've seen and no one even knows about compatibility of these.

Just bought a S7 and I've had my Surge for over a year. Tried for an hour to get it to pair with no luck (I knew the phone paired fine because it paired with my Ford Escape the first try)

Finally:

1. Turned off Bluetooth of my old phone and iPad which were in the room.

2. Made sure Fitbit dongle was connected and connected my Surge to my computer.

3. Went to settings on Surge and put Bluetooth Classic on Pair.

4. Turned off Bluetooth on my S7 and then turned back on.

Finally paired!

When you say removed from your account do you mean you uninstalledit the app??

At the time I would yes, I deleted my fitbit from my account (in the app) like you were going to replace it, but since my initial post, my wife's fitbit started having sync issues when the fitbit wanted to update, I updated it and hers stopped syncing. With hers I only powered it all the way off (hold for 12 sec. While connected to the charger) and then turned it back on and hers started working again. So maybe just truly turning off and on the fitbit reset something. Until I had done mine it had never been truly off for over 6 months

Since my initial post I have had no more issues with mine

The testing has been going on for months. What's up with the Galaxy 7 compatibility?

Are there any plans to have the S7 phone used as a step counter on fitbit? I just upgraded from iphone 5s to S7, such a great device but does not count steps on Fitbit! what a shame 😞

I hope this is fixed soon cause I don't want to carry two devices on me all the time (additional fitbit wrist device). One phone should do all the counting and syncing.

Kindly update! thanks!

I just got my Charge HR and Galaxy S7. It's clearly been months since people have requested full compatability between these devices. Are there any plans to make the most popular android device compatible with the most popular fitness device? If not, I'll return my Charge and pick up a Samsung Gear 2...

What a huge failure Fit but has accomplished. I bought a Fitbit blaze for my dad as a gift, and didn't even check for compatibility with the Galaxy 7. I assumed that since they are a tech based company they would be compatible with the most popular devices 5 months after they came out.

This kind of issue will lose you all of your customers. You should be embarrassed fit bit.....but I guess you are, that's why you are no longer responding. Give us a date, or fire someone and get a programmer that can make it work.

I had to do what Niquaa suggested. It was the only way I could get it connected to my S7. What a pain.

This is what happened with me.  It worked fine, and then some of it stopped.  It still syncs (just done it a moment ago), it's still registering steps, etc., but I'm not getting notifications to say my battery is low or I'm nearly at my step target like I did before.  My phone OS updated in late-June/early-July (I was on holiday so can't recall exactly) and now I've discovered that my phone Bluetooth won't 'pair' with my Flex or is rejected.  It never occurred to me that my phone wouldn't be compatible (got it in March/April-time), because the app set up fine I can't see how I would have known that as I previously had no cause to check it.  If I go to remove my Fitbit from the app, it does say 'unpair' so I presume it is still connected via Bluetooth.

It's surprising and a little bit disappointing.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it works fine with the blaze. Make sure you have you blaze set to pair & then switch on the Bluetooth on on your phones. Then select pair to blaze classic. This help stop my syncing issues that I had. Hope that helps.

Hi Alejandra, do we have any updates on S7 compatibility with fitbit? Please advise, as I am a fitbit user since 2 years and very dissappointing that the best phone S7 out there is not supported. 😞 Many thanks!

I think the issue some of you have fixed is a syncing issue. What the original post, and what I want to know about, is pairing with the actual phone so that other apps that are compatible with the Fitbit devices can see the Charge HR. My Charge will sync, but is not found when searching for available bluetooth devices. Has anyone found a way to make the phones bluetooth find the Charge HR? And Fitbit, any ETA on compatability? There was just an update for both the phone and the app in the last week, neither fixed the issue at hand. Thank you.

I have the S7 edge and everything seems to be syncing fine except that my caller ID isn't working. It sends call notifications but the fitbit just reads the phone symbol and says unknown. It does not display the callers name or number.

Hello all, I hope you are doing fine! Woman Very Happy At the moment we don't any update about when will the Samsung Galaxy S7 be compatible. Our team is hard working in testing the compatibility of several phones but don't worry we are taking all your feedback in consideration. Your patience will be much appreciated. In the meantime, I recommend checking our list of compatible mobile devices for any update.

See you around! Woman Happy
