Samsung s6 Syncing problems - Strava, Swim, Tex

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Have had this Ionic since xmas synced with samsung galaxy s6. Done all sorts of reboots and changes to settings based on Fitbit support and advice trying to get everything working. Still all sorts of issues. When I swim no record is kept either in strava or on the watch. My runs with strava do not appear on the watch. My cycles do not appear. 'NO RECENT ACTIVITY' is all is see! My texts do not go to watch but emails, calendar and calls do. When I cycle to work in the morning and afternoon the auto feature doesn't clock the excercise. In fact the auto feature doesn't clock anything. My bank card doesn't work - first trust visa debit Ireland. I cant see a set of compatible (truly) wireless earphones for less than £100. When I ask the fitbit support people they send me links to the online advice which i've tried a million times. Anyone overcoming these hurdles?

Hello there @seanmacbradaigh, let me start by giving you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! I was reading your post and it seems you are experiencing some issues with your Ionic. So lets see in order each of your concerns.

Regarding your swim exercise, note that these type of exercises are not sent to Strava, neither will be displayed on your Strava dedicated app for Ionic. Exercises recorded with your Fitbit tracker or app that do not include GPS data are not currently sent to Strava. Only those exercises with GPS recorded with Fitbit will be sent to Strava.

So make sure if you are running or cycling is using the GPS feature of your Ionic for this information is sent over across Fitit and Strava. If still is not syncing, I'm not sure if support already told you this, but in case they haven't, please try these steps:

  1. Log in to your fitbit.com dashboard
  2. Click the gear icon on the top right corner
  3. Click "Settings"
  4. Click "Applications" on the left side
  5. Click "Revoke Access" under the "Fitbit + Strava" app
  6. Go to https://strava.fitbit.com/ and click "Connect" and follow the rest of the prompts to finish reconnecting your Fitbit and Strava accounts.

Regarding your Visa debit card, I saw the issuing bank is not among the list of Banks Supporting Fitbit Pay. Rest assure this list is regularly updated as we partner with more banks around the world. Please consider adding your bank to the Fitbit Pay Feature Suggestion board.

Now lets get down to the main issues you've mentioned, what troubleshooting steps have your tried for SmartTrack feature or notifications issues? As a matter of review I'm just going to share with you the following steps and let me know if there is something additional to try or if it was skipped a step.

For notifications, review this post: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).

Regarding SmartTrack, this recognizes an exercise that lasts at least 15 minutes. If your activities aren't being recognized, lowering the time auto-exercise recognition setting to 10 minutes may help ensure they record properly. If this is not working, let me know if you have tried to perform a restart already? In case you haven't try these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

See you around and let me know which steps did you tried already.
