Hi, I've been searching for a solution to this but haven't found anything. On several occasions (always on Saturday mornings), I wake up to an extra 50,000 or so steps added to my day's stats. Obviously that makes any kind of weekly tracking useless. Has anyone else encountered this and how did you resolve it?
Note that I have removed any 3rd party integrations I was concerned maybe Fitbit was pulling in data from Strata in bulk so I removed that integration, but the problem still remains.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

the December patch.
I don't remember when the issue first occurred but I believe it was about
2-3 months ago.
I use the Fitbit Versa 2 purchased last December and running the latest
software release. Firmware release 35.71.6.19.
I will go ahead and uninstall / restart / reinstall the Fitbit software. I
tried that once before and it didn't make a difference but that was several
weeks ago. I'll try it again.
Thanks for any other help.

Hi @joemcg, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Android mobile device are you using? Also, which Fitbit? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try the following steps and let me know if the issue persists:
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
- Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
- Reboot your mobile device.
- Reinstall the Fitbit app.
- Login using your account credentials.
To remove the steps that were incorrectly recorded, please check: How do I delete steps and floors in the Fitbit app?
Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks for your reply and the details that were shared with me @joemcg.
This seems to occur sporadically which is very odd. Please contact me back if the issue persists so I can further investigate why your device is recording such amount of steps only on Saturday mornings. Keep in mind that if you leave the device in a surface with vibration (maybe a fan, an air conditioner system or something else) your Versa 2 will record steps due to the movement of the device itself.
I'll be around, don't hesitate to ask me any additional questions you may have.
