I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently.  Have others noticed this?

I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

Yes, we all agree and are all upset about this. But my shopping has found no apparent watch that has good sleep data nor good presentation of that data as we had with Fitbit last year. If you find any smart watches that have high quality sleep presentations and accurate data, please share for the rest of us.

It feels like they're fighting us, no?

-------------------------------------

It's not only a matter of not thinking things through but updates should be beta tested by other programmers and consumers on a beta team before they ever reach the public. And obviously this was never done. The updates were just released in haste and a sense of not caring that they're doing it correctly.

-----------------------------------

Much appreciated, thank you for the reply. I'm really interested if your watch reverts back to the bad one as many comments in the last couple of days have shared that they were happy they could get the old one back and then all of a sudden it reverted to the new one.
So please let us know before we spend time setting it up all over again. That would be appreciated. Good luck!

I'm checking out the Oura at this time, in an effort to get the results I
previously was familiar with from Fitbit. I have found options to keep my
Fitbit happy, both a way to revert the app AND a way to keep the graphs.

The method to revert is out on Facebook group in several places.
I have been able to keep the good graphs by delete data (in Android app)
and setup my Fitbit again (no loss of history)

@Counselor123 . They are giving us the finger. They don't care what we want.

Best Answer

Yes. Not a fan of the new format. Missing the sleep stages.

The new sleep format is so disappointing. Sleep is the main function of why I own a Fitbit. I was in love with the way I was able to analyze my sleep! I was willing to put up with many issues of breaking Fitbits because I loved it so much. I no longer feel that loyalty to Fitbit. In the past, you were able to clearly see if you had a segmented  sleep. You could easily look at the list and it would show you slept for an hour, then you were awake for two, then you slept for five hours, etc. and you could see this detail day after day on one page which you could scroll. This page gave all the information. Then if you wanted more detail, you would click on the sleep segment. Now if you have a segmented sleep you don’t know when it was unless you happen to have been in the app and saw that it said you slept for an hour, When you go back to it, it will just combine the time but you can’t see the detail. When it was the old app logging in to see my sleep was the first thing I did every morning. Now I often don’t bother anymore because it’s just not the same experience. Unless things change, I will not be buying another Fitbit after being a loyal customer for decades. Google has ruined Fitbit!

How can I change the graphics for sleep stages back to the fitbit version?  ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW GOOGLE GRAPHICS.

Best Answer
I see you’re replying to another user.
An Android user.
I don’t know how, but every response is now coming to me.
I’m not an administrator; I just complained about the new sleep format. I liked being able to read the times of the change in activity.
Then my Fitbit was constantly being turned off. As that isn’t happening now, I’d assume that was a software glitch or intentional so we’d think we have to buy new Google watches.
The new logo is “Fitbit Motivation, Google Innovation “. I think as consumers, we’re not in favor of the changes.

when you post in a forum, ALL replies to that forum come to you. you have
to find a way to leave that forum (don't know how to do that)
Best Answer
the graphics are not "Goofle" .. this is the newest Fitbit update.

There IS a way to revert it out on Fitbit Facebook Groups but it is only
for Android ( iPhone is too locked down to allow that level of recovery or
flexibility)
Best Answer
But it is Google. Google owns fitbit now.

When creating your post, there's a little check box asking if you want to
see all those replies. You probably checked it. Ask a moderator (assuming
they're listening) or call them and ask if you can Uncheck that box in
further posts, or current ones.

GOOD LUCK!

No one likes the new Fitbit! Thousands of complaints.

Some have posted that they have been able to revert back to the former one
and it's posted somewhere however, there have been subsequent posts saying
that the next day it reverted back to the bad one.

Yes I was able to revert back to the fitbit graphic and the next day it was
switched back.

I suspect you’re getting responses because there was a checkbox you checked when you made your first post that offered to send them to you. Maybe a moderator can help if they care. Don’t know.

Sorry to say you’re way behind in all the anger that has been expressed since the last/newest “update” or “downdate”. 😊

No one likes the new version and pleaded for Fitbit/Google to revert back but moderators are not responding and unprofessionally ignoring. In some cases, some posters have complained that they posts have been taken down. It appears that moderators are simply reading, not responding.

The sleep issues are no longer accurate per my personal experience and many posters. Many people are very upset because they rely on the sleep data to assist with their sleep issues; some even reported taking the data to their doctors. But the data appears to not be reported correctly NOR easy to read the new graphs…vs so simple with the previous version before the update.

Many people report jumping ship and looking for a different watch, some are waiting to see if they are secretly reading all this and making modifications in a new update to come. So far, it appears that Galaxy, Garmin, etc don’t have the excellent sleep module that Fitbit USED to have. So some are feeling abandoned by Fitbit/Google and very angry. Had the newest update been properly been beta tested, I suspect it wouldn’t have occurred in its current form.

So, this is your update since you seem to be new. 😊 Keep us posted if you feel you’ve learned anything in this regard.

We ALL feel the same way. I hope the moderators are sharing this with the
designers/programmers and considering fixing all this.

Until, we're all drowning in anger a disappointment over feeling abandoned.

Good luck

I’m in the same boat with OSA.

I’m having difficulty finding options (Android) where I can see the product’s sleep presentation and compare it to the OLD Fitbit. Certainly, won’t pay good money for a new smartwatch and find it’ not much better than the NEW “advanced version.

How can we see new watch displays in this regard??

If you have any tips or have found one that puts the old Fitbit to shame re SLEEP issues, please share??

Thanks 😊

Yeah, I'm unsure how a potential customer can view a new smartwatch sleep
display without first buying it!

If anyone has found an Android compatible watch and figured out how to
compare it to the OLD/BETTER Fitbit, please advise.

Thanks!

Exactly.

The updates should have been beta-tested with actual users before
distributed.

Shame on them.

Moderator: please ask to consider just taking best of the previous sleep

diagnostics, leave it alone, then add some frosting on the cake. You can

update with a better product. You don't have to revert to previous update if

you just give us the previous one with additional enhancements. And I'm not

even a premium member.I can't imaging how furious those people are.

We would all be happy to list what we've lost to allow designers to go back

to the drawing board. Some may even be open to beta testing.

Thank you

The updated sleep timeline and stages is hard to read and lacks the features of the previous version. I liked the scroll feature to see the exact time (hr/min) I was in REM, light, and deep sleep, being able to expand the view and tap a period of time to see how long I was sleeping in that stage - and then compare that to my heart rate at that time. I also enjoyed being able to see and actually read the sleep stages. This new design removed several features and makes it so difficult to read, especially with my eyesight. How is this new disaster even a premium feature anymore?

Does anyone know another tracker with more readable graphics? I’m done with Fitbit after this. Too bad for them as I’ve been a loyal customer for years and I’m sure I’m not the only one ready to leave the Fitbit community for good!
