I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently. Have others noticed this?
I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

I agree and with you 100%
There are already tech articles on the newest effort to kill Fitbit.

Me too.

I wish they'd bring back the sleep data on a desktop/laptop, I loved seeing that data , easier to see the times exactly compared to that LITTLE APP on the phone. Wish they'd bring it back!!!!!

I'm done with FitBit. I've been tracking sleep with FitBit and Pillow. FitBit is useless. It only tells me amount of time asleep, not light sleep, deep sleep, REM, etc. like Pillow. Not going to keep wasting time. There was lots wrong with FitBit including black screen that made it impossible to tell time, but the changes to sleep tracking made it completely useless. Last night was the last night I'll use my FitBit. It's trash today. My Apple watch and Pillow App provide the information FitBit used to provide, and I can actually use the watch to tell time. Bye!

Is this the new data display for sleep? I thought my update killed my rem & deep sleep. I even bought a new Charge 6 because I thought my other had lost it's abilities. I no longer got HRV or Breathing Rate data on my old Charge 6. Doesn't show on my new Charge either. I'll give it another day or two before I return the new one. My old one was just 10 months old. I thought the sensors had died, but it worked fine until the update.
GOOGLE really knows how to screw good things up.

The new sleep chart is terrible. Confusing! The benchmarks without a number range is worthless. Please revert to previous layout.

Let's be clear, Google HAS tried to provide the old sleep graph. Go to the little 'You' icon on the bottom right. Then choose 'Feed' under Community. Then choose the moon icon and then again, where it says 'sleep'. This will open up the detailed analytical graph that is so useful.

Thanks for pointing that out JohnVee. Since that is precisely what most folks want to view rather than that mess of a line graph in the new and not at all improved front-facing part of the app, why should it be buried many pokes or clicks deeply in the application? I suppose I should be grateful that I'm not also required to pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time as assessed by the Fitbit biometrics while attempting to accessing this. This is a half loaf at best with respect to requests but falls short of requiring gratitude if usability is a meaningful goal. The new view adds nothing of additional value while taking away the prior simple and directly informative display.

Unfortunately it only shows all the sleep data when it wants to, so it is now surprising when it does. The worst part though is the extreme inaccuracy of the sleep data. Numerous times it has said I was asleep when I know I was wide awake and moving about, and other times it doesn't even record all of my sleep, telling me, as an example, that I have only slept 3 hours when I know I slept at least 7 hours.None of this was ever an issue before the new app. It is not a case of users not understanding how to read the new data layout. It is a majorly faulty app. My main purpose for even buying my fitbit was to track my sleep and heart data. Without accurate sleep data it is useless to me now.I strongly suspect Google is not fixing the problem because the whole reason they bought out fitbit was to kill off their competition and sell their Google watches.
