I suppose there was an update. The app presents sleep data differently.  Have others noticed this?

I miss seeing how long episodes of awake, light, REM and deep sleep are

Fit but automatically recognises change of breathing rate and heart rate to know when you are sleeping. Sadly not hugely accurate as it said I was in a deep sleep when I was reading !!

I'm paying for a PREMIUM membership so I can see all of the data available that my device tracks, yet with every update, Google is taking away data I used to be able to see.  After this latest update, I can no longer see the percentage of time that my sleep was in the restorative state.  This is the most important sleep health data that exists and Google has hidden it from me.  If you want users to pay for premium memberships, stop taking away the data we used to be able to see!

No, my Android too

This change is terrible!   The former easy to read and understand graphs have been replaced with something NOT easy to read and interpret.  The Benchmark no longer shows a comparison with people our age so it is useless.

The oxygen variation graph is also useless.

This is like when Coca Cola changed its name and recipe in 1985. It, like this change,  A MISTAKE!  I hope, like Coca Cola, Fitbit recognizes its mistake, and goes back to the graphs we all seem to like.

If this is not corrected, we are going to take another look at Apple Watch. .

I absolutely hate the new sleep data graph/chart. It’s so hard to read. I wish I had the option to revert to the old one.

Best Answer

100% agree. Not only is the new sleep UI harder to read, I always looked at the time I was awake during the night or deep sleep. Now they've taken away that ability to view those details and just lumped it all in. This was a useful and interesting option both my wife and I liked and talked about first thing in the morning. This was a poor update Google!

I agree.  I’m considering an Apple Watch.

The new layout for sleep data is ghastly. Yes we all need to complain.

New app does not give level of 02 during sleep this is why I got this fit bit! Go back to original. Then you take away feature I bought it for.. selling one item and then change it so it is of no use to me.. it sporadic at best and new graphs are horrible with less information . Anyone else fed up with upgrade ? Want to return it it doesn’t do what I bought it for. Shady marketing once they have your money simply don’t care

When I first saw the new graph I thought there was a glitch in the software, so I came here to find out if it was happening to anyone else.  Now I learn this horrible "update" was done on purpose.  The graph is now unreadable.  I want the old graph and colorful summary of each stage that we used to have.

In the last several days, our Sense sleep report has changed......It's overlayed and difficult to read. Plus there is no past readings to compare.

Lodging a vote against the new sleep format. It’s a bummer!

The new format of the sleep display is far too busy, making it difficult to read & quickly review data, and generally unpleasant to look at. The color scheme, especially on the glaring white background is just plain unappealing.

I’ve been a user specifically for the sleep tracking for 10 years and this isn’t a case of taking a bit to adjust. It’s just difficult to use. Like others have said, I think it may just be time to move on to another platform.

Charge 4. My Fitbit asked me to click on my Fitbit type, but the was no
option for Charge 4. Dammit Fitbit has gone rogue! I’m 81 in good health,
very tech savvy, but I hate what you’ve done to sleep tracking. I know
you’re just a robot, but please respond to the real issue! We all like the
old sleep tracking visual. This new one is a disaster!!!

New update is absolutely awful. Where are the percentages of amount slept in each stage of sleep Numbers alone mean I have to do the math. It's hard to see the results in a line graph why it was simple to see in a bar graph

I'm paying for the premium sleep apps and I don't get them. In addition if I fall asleep before 12, wake up for an hour and go back to sleep it is listed as an app on the day before. I used to be able to delete what isn't a nap, but is interrupted sleep. Then headed to sleep on that day and combine the two. And get my real amount to sleep and by evening it would have processed all the awake asleep and interrupted sleep together. Now I cannot delete the naps and it makes it really hard to figure out how many hours of sleep I got. In addition I agree with everyone else that it's ugly and hard to figure things out. Why did you do this to us?

I am aware thatonce you make edits you could put functions back as you've done that before when you took away the battery and the upper left. So please don't tell us we're stuck with this and at least make minor changes that will keep us as customers and make the app more useful.

could you please make it possible to delete the nap so we could edit to real sleep functions together. And please also include the percentages as well as the amount of sleep as you did before.

I recognize we're stuck with this disgustingly ugly ugly graph that I hate but at least put back the functions we are paying for this data especially the folks like me who paid for premium.

Change the sleep interface back! I'm canceling my premium membership until you do. This new interface truly SUCKS!

Best Answer

Because they screwed with the interface.

@AnnStumptownthere are no robots here. I'm just another Fitbit product user, like yourself. When you see "Fitbit Moderator" under the name of the one posting, they are an employee. As for the proper place to post, your post was moved to the sleep layout thread. If you want to post about the Charge 4, the forum area for that would be "Other Charge trackers" which combines all but the latest Charge devices.

I was given no notice when the sleep section changed, and all it felt like was I lost info I would regularly check, like actual times for sleep stages.

From this forum I learned to click and hold on the stages timeline, but I had to figure out how to get here with the intent to complain to finally get that. Where was the "what's new and how to use it" notice? Click and hold is not intuitive.

However, data is still missing. The average and benchmark sections don't give me data on my averages (the dot) or the benchmark ranges. Tap or click and hold does nothing. How do I reveal that info again?
