I wear my alta hr overnight. This morning when i woke up I synced my alta hr and checked my sleep log. It was detailed showing the sleep stages etc and looked about right. I then put my blaze on for the day and went to the gym. I’ve just synced again this afternoon and my sleep log has updated to be 2 hours longer and only shows basic sleep. I watched the sleep log change from detailed to basic as it was syncing!!!
This has happened a couple of times before. Any ideas what is going wrong? I usually wear my alta in bed and blaze in the daytime.

Thanks for sharing those details, let me help you figure out what is going on.
Let's try editing the sleep to reflect a similar length as it was before syncing the Blaze. That should get the details to go back to how they were before the Blaze synced.

i did try and reset the times to what they actually were but its not worked. This has happened 2 or 3 times before and each time i reset the sleep log to what it really was but it seems to have lost the detailed data.

Had this happen recently once and according to the app and one of Fitbit's articles, this can happen if it cannot get a good heartbeat reading.
