So many sync issues

Does anyone else seem to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to get the Surge to sync?

On my S6 its either "tracker not found" "couldnt reach fitbit.com" . I then reboot the Surge normally to no effect, unistall the app and re-install, usually to no effect. Then the loading circle just spins and spins and times out.

The same on the windows app but usually "windows is not responding as expected...etc", funny everything else is working...or "looking for tracker", or "is your Surge connected to another device, please disconnect"...err no its not.

It's driving me nuts! Wifes Alta connects immediately. Is it another case of old firmware just not being up to the task?

It's nice to see you around more often @Chris1963Cat HappyTry restarting your Surge one more time by following the steps I provided here. Also, make sure you have updated your Android app to the latest version and that your Internet and Bluetooth connection are working properly. Then, please follow the steps I provided in this thread.

Hope this helps, let me know the outcome! Cat Happy

Hi Meylin, yes I've tried all those things. It seems to be a random event when it syncs. The laptop is as difficult as the phone. What with the other issues around the broken strap and HR inconsistencies, it's pretty frustrating.

Saying that, I have tried the Surge on my other arm. Incredibly it matched the Polar chest strap within 2 bpm over 2 hours - it did do its old trick however of not quite keeping up with quick rises of bpm, preferring to give me the - - reading. But the average bpm over the two hours of biking was exactly the same - 135bpm. Also the GPS recorded the same mileage to within 17 yards and even more amazing, first time ever this has happened, the calorie count was within 12 of the Polar at 1230 or so! If that continues I'll just have to get used to wearing it on my non dominant arm.

So...credit where credit is due, maybe there is hope. Roll on Surge 2 ... I really dont want to go to Garmin as I like all the Fitbit app stuff but this Surge is barely holding together physically.
