@xlevix10 wrote:My watch today was syncing properly up until the very end, but it shorted me just under 200 steps at the end of the day (16,321 in the app, 16,507 on the watch).
I did shut down my watch a couple of times because I was at a hockey game and didn't want my claps to register as steps, so I'm thinking that may have something to do with the discrepancy tonight. Will test again tomorrow without shutting down/restarting my watch to see what happens.
I updated the Fitbit app on my Pixel Watch 1 last night and unfortunately steps are out of sync again without shutting off/restarting my watch. Watch shows 8,307 steps and app shows 7,903. This is getting to be so frustrating because it was work for four straight days with no discrepancy issues and now it's back.

Hey @EstuardoFitbit, been over a month since your reply acknowledging the issue. Where do we stand with this? When will this be fixed?

I am new to this issue. My fitbit versa 2 is accurately recording steps and exercise but it just stopped syncing to my fitbit app and WW app this week.

Hello @ASMfit
There has been an on-going issue on the Fitbit side that affects the device syncing & pairing with the app. The team is aware of the issue and has been working on fixing the problem.
A recent update to the Android app, version 4.28.2, was supposed to fix the syncing & pairing issue. However, many users reported that the syncing issue was not fixed after updating to version 4.28.2. The Moderators have acknowledged this and have forwarded the information to the team.
At this point, there isn't any troubleshooting to recommend since the issue is on the Fitbit side.

Something new happening today....Exercise days still disappearing, but now steps are also not syncing and did all the rebooting, cache clearing, etc. This is what I have done today, but it keeps decrease the steps and will not update the Fitbit servers as I checked on desktop and it shows less floors and steps. It will not update correctly. In fact, it reverted to 26 floors and 30,183 Steps and 228 Active Zone minutes. What gives....all this nightmare of the app update that happened in September and it is now November and today all kinds of things got way worse...before all the exercise days just disappeared, but now all kind of things are not working.

I am having similar stuff with my Charge 4....Android APP nightmare....started in September but now it is getting way worse

So none of my steps have been tracked since September 9th. No matter what I do. This is extremely frustrating considering this is a $500 watch with $1,000 Pro phone. That is brand new and I can't get it to do the simplest of tasks. Do you have any update on this? Because this is absolutely absurd. I rely on my Fitbit to track my things as I am on a weight loss journey and I have lost access to that and is progressively gotten worse and now the only thing that it shows me is calories burned. I have already reset the device. We started the device, uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. We're still in the same position. What is the best answer for this as right now it is almost a paperweight

So far the steps between my Pixel watch and the Fitbit app has been accurate for two and a half days. I do have to pull down the Today screen to sync though. Hoping that it will work for seven days at least. Hopefully it will continue to work after that.
I hope it will work for all users.

Unfortunately I'm not having the same luck. As soon as I do a workout that's tracked with GPS, my steps are out-of-sync. I'm on version 4.28.3 😞

Preliminary, it looks like this issue may finally be fixed with the 4.29 update 🤞🏻 although I have noticed I sometimes have to pull down on the home screen once or twice to manually sync the Watch to get the steps to properly show up, but that's better than it's been and a step in the right direction.

Not fixed with 4.29 on Android. Today I have over 13,000 steps. The FitBit app shows zero steps. And yet that same FitBit app shows that I did a 4.29 mile run, and got all 8 hours with over 250 steps and 186 cardio load score - all somehow without taking a single step. If you are a developer for FitBit, read that last sentence again and think about how preposterous that is and then go FIX your software. This is completely unacceptable and has gone on far too long.

4.29 won't syc any information with my pixel 3. I've done all the "solutions" several times. Just stopped working altogether.

Correct. NOTHING has been fixed. It is a colossal disaster. Been months and the Android app is terrible now. Makes you wish Google.had never taken over.

No it has not. Nothing is better and in fact, it has gotten worse.

I've stopped paying attention to this issue because it was close enough and I'm busy. Yesterday my count was off by more than 1500 on less than 10000 steps. Calories were wrong, too.
I created a walk to get the steps back, which worked on the app. My watch then showed me over 10k.
Ludicrous. And Google simply doesn't care.

you're on to something. Every time my app falls behind on synching steps from my pixel 2, it's after a walk with GPS. It's December and this is still happening.
