Surge (Classic) pairing issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently got a new Droid Turbo 2 to replace my stolen one.  I am trying to get my text & call notifications set up but when I go to settings, then Bluetooth Classic and switch to "pair" I get an error message that says "Couldn't pair with Surge (Classic) because of an incorrect PIN or passkey."  I have uninstalled & reinstalled the Fitbit app, I have turned off & turned on my tracker and restarted my phone and still get the same error message.  Any suggestions on what might be going on?  It worked fine with my other Droid Turbo 2, but is not pairing with this one.  What PIN or passkey is it referring to? Everything else with the tracker is working fine . . .just not receiving text & call notifications.

Hey there @lawsontwin! I hope you enjoy your time in the Forums.

I suggest that we try to reset the Bluetooth connection between your Surge and your Droid Turbo 2. To do that please follow these steps:

  1. Access your Droid's Bluetooth settings.
  2. Look for your Fitbit Surge.
  3. Delete the Surge from the settings.
  4. Set up the notifications once again.

Please let me know how it goes! Smiley Very Happy
