I have a fitbit surge and Galaxy S7. It has been working but now wont sync with bluetooth. Doesn't even show as an option to sync on phone. Kept asking for location setvices to be turned on but phone doesn't even show app. Happy for suggestions.

@Fitolive, I am not sure what you mean when you say it is asking you to turn on Location Services, but it doesn't show the app.  Location Services is one of the phone's services, not an app - Open the phone Settings, select Location Services and enable.

The tracker can be synced a couple ways in the Fitbit app.  One way is from the app dashboard pull down on the screen to initiate a sync.  A second way is to open the Account screen in the app, then tap on the device then select Sync Now.

On February 15th, my Alta had a sync error. I called the wonderful folks at Customer Service and after patiently walking me through steps, they decided it was dead and they would send me a new one. I got the new one and immediately called Customer Service. They couldn't get that one to work either! It's not like I even had a chance to kill it first. So, now I am waiting for a replacement of my replacement. I am using the lack of a Fitbit as my excuse for not going for a walk! I am beginning to think that idea is sort of stupid. Maybe I could count (in my head as opposed to out loud) as I walk - okay, out loud counting wouldn't surprise anyone! I really miss my wrist thingy that I wear on my ankle because I walk funny......even though Customer Service says I shouldn't.
