Fitbit Update: 9/12/19
Hey all!
We're still investigating and working on a fix for this text notification issue on Android.
In addition to not receiving the correct text notification, we're now aware this is also affecting call notifications. Some of you may only see a previous caller's name and not the person actually calling you at the time you're receiving the notification.
When we have more information for a fix, we'll announce it here in this thread. Please stay tuned for updates!
Fitbit Update: 7/30/19
Hi everyone.
We're aware of these issues with receiving only the sender's name from your text messages. This appears to have started with the Fitbit for Android app version 3.0. If you're experiencing this yourself with your Fitbit device, please know we're working on a fix.
While our team investigates this further, we just ask for your patience. Once I have information for a fix, I'll make an announcement here on this thread.

So frustrated to realize that I applied the update after this was a known issue for fit bit. It seems like they would have taken the update down or at least provided a warning to people that they would be going backward by installing the update. Starting to look at garmon products

Will this issue be fixed by another update? I notice it has been happening for over a month now. How will we be notified of the fix? Very frustrating and seemingly a waste of money ☹

I didn't apply the update yet. I am not sure what people mean when they say "they would be going backward by installing the update". While I know the update did not fix the problem what new/old problems did it cause and/or what functionality did it change?

Why not make the version 2 .95 source file available to download for the community until you're able to get the new one fixed? At least that way we know we would be getting an accurate version that is not infected or from a dubious source.

I love the idea about simply having FitBit make 2.95 available. I think the next step is for everyone to go to Amazon and write reviews. Seriously.

Hello,
Is the support team also working on a fix for those of us who are not able to receive ANY notifications since the app update? My Charge 3 was working beautifully until then. I was on a live chat with help two evenings ago and got nowhere. I've tried everything in the help article.

I have the Blaze and Note 8, my text notifications only say view messages, it's been like that for a month and half if not longer. Incredibly annoying. Please get this fixed

Confirming that the latest update, 3.33, does not fix this issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, rebooted phone (Pixel 2 Android 9) and device (Charge 2) and checked all settings and permissions. Nope, zip, nada!
Uninstalled 3.33 and reinstalled version 2.95 and notifications work as they should.
When it comes time, probably sooner than later because of this issue, I will not be buying another Fitbit device.
This is ridiculous!
