Fitbit Update: 9/12/19
Hey all!
We're still investigating and working on a fix for this text notification issue on Android.
In addition to not receiving the correct text notification, we're now aware this is also affecting call notifications. Some of you may only see a previous caller's name and not the person actually calling you at the time you're receiving the notification.
When we have more information for a fix, we'll announce it here in this thread. Please stay tuned for updates!

We're aware of these issues with receiving only the sender's name from your text messages. This appears to have started with the Fitbit for Android app version 3.0. If you're experiencing this yourself with your Fitbit device, please know we're working on a fix.

I have a fitbit Alta and I am also having the same issue. I see several people saying they reset their charge by holding down a button. That I am aware of , I don't have a reset button. Any advice on this?

I just updated the newest version yesterday....hoping they fixed the
software issues!! But NOPE!! Not fixed yet! Very frustrating!!!

man, Fitbit is just one problem after another. Half the time it doesn't sync or god knows what. My Charge 2 hasn't tracked floors for like a year. And now this is taking like a month to fix.

I had same issue too, my versa update to least version and fitbit to v3.2 too.
I don't get any call or messages notification too. Had try follow all step guide help. But not successfully.
Developer fix this issue asap.
Hi AlessFitbit, my Charge 2 is no longer receiving text or call notifications from my Android phone. Worked fine until this update. Sure hope the devs are working on a fix, this appears to be a serious, global problem. Many unhappy customers! You should let us know the status, ASAP. Thank you.
Best AnswerSame with me. I stopped receiving any text notifications. Others will come through such as Snapchat or a calendar event alarm, but I also heavily rely on the text notifications on my watch and really need this feature back.
I have a Google pixel 2 and am having the same issue. It will show who is texting but not the message itself. It is very frustrating since I can not always look at my phone at work. And to think I was looking at upgrading.
Good to see the moderators are still reading these messages at least.
Got the firmware update for my Charge 2, nothing has changed though. It has been about a month now. This is such a bummer and is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth about Fitbit.
Yep...having the same issue. Glad I looked here and figured out I'm not going crazy!

Best AnswerI have a Fitbit charge 2 and am experiencing the same issues with the Fitbit not showing the content of the text messages just the persons name who has sent it. All my settings are correct and like other people I have tried everything like logging off, deleting and loading the app. I hope this can be sorted soon as it's very frustrating.
