Text Notifications on Samsung Galaxy 8

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy 5 to a Galaxy 8.  I think I have the sync issue resolved, but am still having problems with the text/phone notifications.  I was able to receive them with my Galaxy 5 but have had sporadic notifications with the Galaxy 8.  Samsung has suggested compatibility issues and to contact Fitbit.  Are you aware of compatibility issues?  If not, any suggestions on how to adjust the settings to continue to receive notifications?

Thank you,

Suanders

@Suanders Hi and welcome - have you set to receive via the Notification centre?

I will try and give you a few things to do to these worked on my charge 2 and had one or 2 responses saying its worked on other systems so here we go

to receive Notifications both on device and on phone you may have to reset a few things both on phone and in the app I have tried to explain these below and in the following link

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-2/Charge-2-no-more-notifications-when-reaching-daily-goals/m-... (go to message 10 (correct at time of writing) (Dated ‎16-07-2018 09:11 and written by myself (Ashwolve that is lol)) incase there have been more replies on that thread

on phone click settings and in search bar type notification Access and

look for Fitbit Sync Service notification and allow,  close page

short version is you may need to do is check the privacy settings for the app specially on Android devices. Go to Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions. Additionally go to SettingsNotification panel & Status bar > Notification Centre > Fitbit to allow the app to show notifications on your phone.

and on Phone in app - account>settings>scroll to advanced and check push notifications

the following link may give more suggestions also

How to get notifications on Fitbit Devices

Hope this Helps (No Guarantees as this maybe all incorporated into the App Update that is currently not working correctly https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/App-2-76-1-steps-calories-revert-to-zero-no-live-HR/td-p...)

if all else fails you may also wish to consider giving Customer Service a call to see if they can give more suggestions,

the phone number will appear once the office is open (usually 0800 - 1900 Mon-Fri and 1000 - 1700 weekends in the UK)

Customer Support UK

This is for the UK but should you need to change country scroll to the bottom and look for United Kingdom with a down arrow next to it and click on the arrow now you can select your relevant country and the page will refresh

hope this helps some

Kind Regards
