Thanks for trying all of those steps to get the texts to work correctly before posting in here.
I'd like to ask some questions to better understand the situation:
- What messaging app are you using? Is it the default one for the phone?
- Did you make sure that all of the permissions are enabled on the phone's notifications settings? If not, please do check on that.
- Check the settings for the messaging app and make sure that the option to preview the messages is turned on.
In the meantime you could try going through these steps. They should definitely help out.
