Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

I can't believe how bad the latest version of the app is. I'm tempted to take a hammer to my sense 2 because of the new app. Please , please provide a path to return to the previous app.

So my app updated today and I am extremely disappointing. I hate how it looks. I hate that it does not say the battery percentage anymore. I really wish I could revert. I move my options around to customize it better but I still very much don’t like it. The old one looked better and seemed more functional. I really especially hate the battery thing

They blindsided us. My wife will really be pissed when she wakes up and sees this mess in the morning. It took me long enough to get her to use a fitbit to begin with. Now she likes it, has it set up to her taste and needs, and she doesn't handle change very well.
I personally think that the way they blindsided everyone and didn't give a choice is what really sux. The new look of the app does, too. I can't even see how much battery life is left and can't find an option to put it back.
I can't wait until my wife wakes up in the morning and sees this mess. She will probably blow a gasket.

Just a heads-up to everyone here, it looks like there has been a community feedback form raised about the new change here:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Product-Feedback/Return-to-previous-App-displays/idi-p/5451882
If you dislike the new app, I would post your constructive criticism (as in why the app is bad now, not just mention that it is terrible even though it is) on there, or at very least give a thumbs up to the feedback author.
Wont hurt to post here as well though. They have to take notice and understand how terrible this is, and driving people away from fitbit will not make people buy Google devices.

Totally agree - who thought this was a good idea? The previous version and functionality was brilliant - did the job and was user friendly
I went into the 'month' tab and it did show the running total of steps for the month and below this is a table with what I thought was a summary of steps for each week in the month - but No - it couldn't be anything so useful - the summaries just show my average steps for that week why???? Sadly will have to look at other products - app is bland, colourless and not useful - obsessed with 'ranges' and 'averages'..............how to ruin your business in one day....

Thanks. I've commented over there too.
I've had various Fitbit services over the last 10+ years and survived several app "improvements". This one might be a deal-breaker - hard to think how much worse they could've made it 🥴

Well lets hope they do not try and make to worse

how do I post? I can only reply.
This update is AWFUL. The algorithms were previously set to ignore zero step count days in calculating average step count. Now it includes them. Clearly a zero step count day means we have either not worn the watch or the battery was flat; we are neither dead nor in a coma. So please go back to excluding zero step count days in calculating the average step count for the week or month as this is now hopelessly inaccurate.

The latest sense 2 update for September 2023 is absolute GARBAGE I can't scroll AT ALL on my watch so I can't start my walking distance or anything else I can't access the dashboard AT ALL I can't change clock faces I can't even see any clock faces in the app because my dashboard is missing I'm sure there will be a lot more issues with this pathetic update Good on you Fitbit I've got $450 of a useless watch with that awful update Come on get your act together I'm not happy at all

This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Not really. The new app is confusing, everything looks the same, there is no distinction between features at a glance, the main dashboard is not configurable. I can't see important stats at a glance (like sleep score), and so on
There is nothing on the new app that makes information available easier than before. Please revise this redesign, and do some user testing.

Doesn't help the overall bland colours/look of the app. Not good for someone like me with less than perfect eyesight. Doesn't sound as though Premium is any better from other comments. App now looks more like a Google fitness tracker app.

I wholeheartedly agree. I wont be replacing the fitbit and will switch to something else. The interface looks like a child drew it with crayons, too much white space and not enough readily available on first screen. Definitely a downgrade for long term fitbit users

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Paulam56!
Sad to hear that your Sense 2 isn't working as expected.
I'd suggest trying if restarting your device will get things fixed. To do so please hold it's button for around 10 seconds until you'll see the Fitbit logo on it's display.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I hate it and want the old layout back. And I can't get rid of a notification about MobileTrack not tracking even though my battery setting is correct.

Your new app is harder to read and takes up too much space with each separate block. Why did you fix something that wasn’t broken? There is too much white space and the font and graphics sizing is all over the place.
TBH this makes me want to switch to an Apple Watch.

Now i have to click through three things to see my sleep metrics. It used to show right on the front page. Who thought that was a good idea? Give me the old app back, please.

Luxe and mobile tracking stops multiple times a day. Please let us go back to old interface.

In the time it took you to come here and complain, you could've just set it up the way you want. It's not that hard.

I totally agree! Fitbit, please give users the option to select new or traditional platform.

Bobby131313, your response is not helpful. I have the same complaint as Crista64. I have been reviewing online help, but have not found my answer. I decided to chat with Fitbit, who move me to technology support. Guess what, they want to charge me a $1 to assist, instead of providing a help menu to resolve my issue.
