Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!
One of the things I've always like about the Charge line is the narrow profile. My wife and I don't want something that looks like a watch, just enough screen to check basic metrics. The phone app is our way of reviewing data, or at least it was until this week. If this isn't meaningfully resolved quickly, Amazon will be selling us two Garmins. There is no way in h.e.l.l that I would buy us another Google-related product. I'm p.i.s.s.e.d enough that after decades of using their search engine I'm considering switching to Duckduckgo.
This update is awful. Everything is enormous, I have to scroll forever to find what I'm looking for, everything is the same shade of what I'm assuming is supposed to be soothing grey and blue but it makes every feature blur together. There's no way (that I've found) to change the fonts back to a reasonable size so I can see more than two features at a time. Is there a way to undo this update?
The original Fitbit app was created by programmers who were using the Fitbits - now the app is created by programmers who don't wear a Fitbit to track their activity and health every day. The appearance of all the updates shows this latest "upgrade" will make my dump my fitbit if we can't go back to the old very functional and usable days. I wonder the current app illustrates that the programmers are just looking at a tablet, not a phone to see the results.
UPDATED - It seems that the app functionality is very much improved, it's tracking my steps a lot faster and more accurately than the older version, the issue is only that the graphical data display is way too graphic and big on a phone to be easy to visually monitor and track.
It's hard to know what has possessed them with this 'upgrade', it defies all logic. I've literally just bought an amazfit, arriving tomorrow. App looks fine. It's got good reviews and battery life looks excellent on it. I'd have stayed with fitbit if they hadn't turned their app into an unusable mess. I was probably due a new tracker anyway, thank god I didn't buy a new fit bit and then the app changed! Small mercies

Fitbit have [or are] rolling out the new unrequested Fitbit App version 4 for the phone, as an update to version 3 with unfortunately no choice to switch or not..

When do you roll back ?
This is disaster. Was it tested ? Any feedback collected from users ? I can't believe you can screw it so bad. This is huge step back - NO IMROVEMENT.
I'm with this brand for 7+ years but now first time thinking to quit... really dissapointing.
please propose the way to go back
