Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

We HATE the app update!!! Please change it back!

Really dislike the new design. Way harder to get to what I want to see. Too many clicks. Not enough ways to customize. Like I don't see any way to reorder the items on my Today screen. I can turn them on and off, but not put them in an order that works for me. Way too much white space. Just generally thumbs down. 👎

I found one thing that hasn't changed in the new app.

When I ride a motorcycle on the street, I get an activity result that I exercised on a mountain bike, and that I burned 209 cal. Problem is, there is no longer Max speed shown in the app. I must now look at the speedometer to get that. 😘

I also get the mountain bike exercise when I mow the lawn with a push mower. So, I already know how to delete an exercise.

It is not as good, visually, or functionally, as the previous version. Almost dissuasive. Suggest a compact, data centric, minimalist UI. And, restore battery percentage readout. Last, provide control for alternative color schemes, eg., light/dark/system, or small palette.

This is kind of interesting:

ttps://techcrunch.com/2023/08/01/fitbit-is-revamping-its-app-with-a-three-tab-layout/

I hadn't taken in that there are now three tabs. More lousy design: swiping left and right doesn't do anything, so why isn't that how I access those other tabs, instead of wasting a bunch of real estate at the bottom of the screen on buttons to do so? Has nobody involved in this ever done any kind of user interface design?! Sheesh.

And since I don't care about those other two tabs' functions, is not only poor design, but is 100% wasted space.

It’s terrible I agree.

This.is.HORRIBLE!! Looks like it was designed by a 3 year old. Please give us the option to toggle back to the old screen! Sometimes things don’t need “fixing’!”

I’ve been rocking a Fitbit since 2015, and have been a loyal brand evangelist converting my Apple Watch friends to a Fitbit. I wear my Fitbit daily and check stats consistently. Whenever I had an issue with my tracker, the superior customer service always ensured my concerns were answered. I always felt like FitBit cared about my wellness. Because of this, I had my prior company purchase Fitbit’s for our entire staff to ignite our wellness initiative, so you can say I’ve been quite obsessed with the brand for years.

Today my “update” for the new interface arrived to my app and I am not pleased. It’s the first time Im actually disheartened by the brand and based on all of the feedback here, I see Im not alone.

I understand tech product development takes time, but am wondering if there was any user testing before this new update was implemented. It seems like the new FitBit / Google team is out of touch with the wellness junkies that have relied on rhe Fitbit tracker for years.

I truly hope the brand doesn’t continue to cheapen and take shortcuts out of the health and wellness needs of it’s users.

For the first time, I’m dissatisfied with FitBit.

New interface is terrible - please allow us to use old look and feel which was much better.  Much data now gone.

I used to like how I got daily and weekly totals, not daily averages. Please change it back. All the recent changes are detrimental and not beneficial in the least. If things don't change, I along with many others will be looking at alternative trackers.

Totally agree with you

Horrible! Been through 4 Fitbits in 5 years due to lack of quality. First they get Google involved, now they make the app terrible. Time for a different tracker.

I was about to upgrade my Fitbit, had it in the Amazon shopping cart, and now deleted

I tried uninstall and reinstall this evening and it gave me the new app that I don't want.

It's a very clumsy interface compared to the old one. You may like it, but Google shouldn't have forced it on us all.

The problem with me is that I am color blind and green is the color I was diagnosed with not able to see

This is truly awful. Difficult to read and uninspiring. Can the previous dashboard be made available again?
