Hello everyone!
I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.
Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.
Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.
Happy stepping!

I hate it. My firbit was like my Bible. Now I can't even use it as it's just a waste! Fitbit has disappointed me.

Awful update, so much harder to access my data, which seems like a really odd choice for an app who's job is to collect, and display my data. Options to customise have been limited rather than expanded. The new design is hard to navigate, as well as bland looking.
Like many others, I'm now considering other brands, as this new interface doesn't serve it's purpose.

I think we're shouting into the void. They have deliberately removed basic features from the new version of the app (ability to edit exercise type in an exercise entry being one that support have now confirmed isn't a bug that's just how the new app is)... "Correct! That's not available anymore."
I have an on-going email conversation going with Fitbit support about the lack of a driving mode - this is something that Fitbit users have been asking to have for a decade (or more) and in the new app they have taken away the quickest workaround for recording time spent driving. So at this point I can only conclude they're trolling us. And any conversation with customer support just goes around in circles, they have a script and they stick to it. I'm giving up and going elsewhere as soon as possible.

Sorry but this new app is bad in so many ways - take a look at the same comments that coming up time and time again. You are driving loyal customers away - I’d be afraid of future sales and poor Christmas performance - your loyal fanbase is going to evaporate overnight if you don’t revert to the very much loved previous app and layout !!!

The new app is confusing and bland, there's nothing for the eyes to latch onto to differentiate between the main sections and the subsections. I am constantly scrolling up and down until I eventually find what I'm looking for! Please make it clearer ASAP!!

Clearly the feelings and opinions of the people who are the reason you all have jobs are just dissapating into cyberspace when posted here. I hope everyone is taking their very strong and very validated opinions on this latest bad decision to other platforms where they will actually be heard. Please post something in the actual app store where it will have an impact on the stars rating, currently it is still 4.1 stars. Clearly since this post only has 7 upvotes and over 600 posts from unhappy customers you can do this math. On a good note, Christmas is coming and other trackers will be on sale so I will be researching those so I can make an informed decision about whre I will be taking my business.

Everything now requires more menu navigation and is displaying less information than before. The sleep stages tracking is no longer working either

Hi All and first time posters, With so much dissatisfaction expressed in such a short time Fitbit must surely be aware of the problem, and it's even been escalated, however there is no response as to what can be done, partially due to the weekend perhaps.
The main online Fitbit help has also been modified to work inline with the new phone Fitbit app version 4 screen navigation and operation, however many of the preexisting help posts in the forums now no longer apply, as they were posted for the previous Fitbit App version 3 operations.
This means because of the change in screen operation [with the new app] there will be a 2 tier system where some instructions apply to version 3 and others to version 4. This is going to lead to unnecessary confusion and many of the existing posted helps becoming less useful.
It is more than unfortunate they released a new app which wasn't needed and didn't even introduce dark theme, instead of enhancing the existing one and keeping good continuity and compatibility without losing any of the existing features. Let's hope all your comments posted leads to a reversal but chances are slim because it's a scenario that probably was never envisaged.

User since 2016 … have been thru 2 dashboard changes. My first was colorful & fun … you wanted to interact just to see it on your phone. The first change took away the unique graphics and fun. This change looks like a bot designed it for ease of big data collection. The peeps who do artwork for the Google logo on search homepage need to do an emergency intervention asap. I am due for a new device so this may be sayonara!

Why has battery level indicator disappeared from the latest version of the app?

The new Fitbit App version is a monumental failure. Is Google even paying attention to the thousands of negative reviews? Probably not because they intend to kill Fitbit by 2025.

So over the weekend, i've gotten almost 300 emails for this thread. It's hotter than the Nest Protects getting abandoned and not migrated to Google Home thread.
I dont think Google or any support person has responded to this thread, and i dont think they ever will. Hopefully at least the unsubscribe from thread option works 😂🤦
I sadly think Google has just created an @ppl3 user, with some nudging from microsoft's sketchy nagging to use the edge browser.

Was there a new roll out of a new app? It is very user unfriendly. Cannot see where to sync so that data can transfer between app on phone and web page. Any thoughts on how to navigate this?

I agree . I do not like this new look. Have you tried clicking the Exercise Days icon? I brings up the old screen of showing exercise. Seems to only have one months worth of data. Not sure what the old app had.
Yes, you can keep drilling down but the old screens were very easy to look at totals by days and weeks forever. Now you can get monthly totals and drill down by month but its much more difficult to compare. I really don't need bar charts to review my statistics. They have made this much more difficult to view. Also, I know that data went back further that just this year.

Please, put the last 3.x version on YOUR Play Store, noting that it's not supported, labeled as "Fitbit Legacy" to put an end to this functionally serious problem for people who really use the device and phone application. This cost Google nothing and might to some small degree reclaim some of the customer loyalty that was squandered by this poorly developed 4.x replacement. Otherwise, Google can kiss goodbye any hope of widespread upgrades to the Charge 6 with their Pixel product equally being avoided like the plague. Frankly, the complete lack of response to the tsunami of upset speaks poorly for the company regarding respect for their customers.

Its not developers ..its product owners that determine how a product will develop itself. They are supposed to know their customers needs & the app. Developers are doing what they are told ..
Usually before going to production there is multiple demos of every piece build that the PO needs to approve. They have the accountsbility of the product overall
