Hey, I'm old and it's way gaudy to big for me. 🙂  Really ridiculous waste of screen real estate.

I have been a Fitbit User for many years and used to love it. I absolutely hate the look of the new app. I would like the option to go back to the original, otherwise I will be cancelling my premium service plan. Thank you.

So you said you cannot revert to the old version. This is utter lies. If fitbit/google allowed the download of all previous versions of the app like you can with other apps like chrome or firefox you can also do it with the fitbit app. I have just proved it I located the a.p.k on  an older phone and transfered it to my new phone . I then simply uninstalled the utterly useless ver4 app then simply installed the 3.85 version of the app and all my screens now look fab. Ive turned off autoupdate for the app and now I can relax.... Please provide previous versions in the 3.x version ranges and give me your paying premium customer the choice which is my right. Not o ly that I paid for the device the software needs to work with the device i purchased. If you break the app so badly you render the hardware i purchased useless. And in my honest opion means you are liable for a full refund of the original purchase so I can go buy another fitness watch instead with software that works garman/samsung watches all seem to be a better option now .. thanks from a very disgruntled customer  .

Defo not for older, younger or middle aged people. I am older and find it terrible  got really bad eyes and the UX is appalling no matter how old or young you are ..

Appreciate your comments, but sorry, @126569 this new app was definitely not designed for "older people", however you are defining that. Judging by all of the negative comments, it is not for younger people either.

It isn't working for anyone.

If it is working for someone, I'd like to hear from them.

A link to a,video that shows how to do it has been shared multiple times (for android users )

I completely agree with you @rcfoulk  on  this.. I have also had a couple of posts removed..  they really are putting all their efforts into prentending everything is great. I have ended up side loading a 3.85 version from my old phone. After uninstalling the broken version 4 the oldlegacy version 3.85 works perfectly again . So your idea for the fitbit legacy app in the play store is genius .. I hope you get a reward for providing them with a get out of jail free card 😀😀

Thank you for your input, but this platform they (possibly) your company Fitbit is a disaster, I have not read one positive across the board for this new version, yes, I have read and commented on a lot of the 39 pages, people are not happy, If you are waiting for a total compliment, from more than 5 users that is not part of the company, please email them to me, and yes this post will probably be taken down!!

I found the latest 3.x A.P.K. in a web search and downloaded it.  Before installing it and disabling updates I'm waiting, not optimistically, to see if these folks will begin to listen to their customers (you know, the folks that contribute to their salary) and make the old, galactically better app available for download/installation.  It would need to be listed as something like "Fitbit Legacy" so that v4.x doesn't again overwrite it, but that would go miles in mitigating the raw anger being expressed here.  As you noted, other software vendors typically do this.  Digging heals in on this and effectively demanding that users use this largely irredeemable application displays the same dismissive attitude more typical of Microsoft as it makes dramatic alterations to the Windows UI saying outright "we know this is a better way."  At least there are public domain utilities that allow users to return to an older, more favored UI since the code is still in the operating system and Microsoft, knowing that these utilities exist, continues to leave the old UI code in every release.

Is anyone else having a problem with sleep stages/sleep scores not appearing? Mine haven't shown up since the app update, and they worked just fine for my Charge 4 until then.

Google pull the 4.x version and give us back the 3.x version that we love, cherish and want. Now. Before it's too late, for you. Because you will not win this.

I am also up there in age,, but loved the old version

When I track a walk I really want to see the step count for that walk.

It is no longer visible. (The map overall has a childlike style to it.)

I also miss the running 7 day step count.

Hmmm I have the display but it is always 0 of 0 with no historic information.

Sorry if you read my post and was offend, I am old to but this looks like the commercials you see late at night

welcome to Google nonsense scale: evrrything between 0 and 20 is "low" , from 21 to 79 is medium and 80 and above is "full" such utterly nonsense if you ask me

Well said rcfoulk, probably be taking down before long, they did it to me

Heck rename it 4.01 and we will be all happy

@CharlesA this is then you realize the folks at Google creating this mess of "redesigned Fitbit app" never used a Fitbit debice nor an app to do swimming as exercise...😂

@acidtest no benefit, it's all about removing functionality (no HR max display, no HR display during workout, no exercise renaming, no battery level %) , make it cumbersome to use and choosing such similar colour hue thay you can't even distinguish any more your HR zones, what a complete mess!

google: pull the 4.x version, give us back the 3.x version! Now!

I do not like the look and usability of update. It's too cumbersome. Can I use the old version?

@MaggieStanphill Senior Director, User Experience, and  @ Bhanu Narasimhan, Senior Director of Product Management at Fitbit, did you realize in what a trainwreck you are heading with this so called "re-design" of the fitbit app? There is barely any positive comment here in this thread (except the moderator BS post once in a while aka "here is a 2 pager walkthrough how to see the battery level in the new app burried two level deep") and the wide majority of your userbase are tending negative to this new app design.

Pull the vers 4.x and re-instate the vers 3.x.

Now.

Before it's too late.

For you.

Hi @JohnDough

I thought your idea of starting a new thread to find out if anyone liked the update was such a good idea that I tried it with a new thread on Oct. 3 labeled "Anyone happy with this update?"

Unfortunately, It did not work.

The thread was quickly merged with the rest of the "The redesigned Fitbit app is rolling out!"  comments. Of note, the few responses I got before it was merged (and thereby effectively hidden) were not favorable.

I'm 30, with bad eyesight. I cannot separate the colors used in the new app, especially the heart rate zones. It's like all color and fun has been drained from fitbit.
