Hello everyone!

I would like to announce that the redesigned Fitbit app starts rolling out today! This new app will help you reach your goals, and bring the health and wellness information right on hand.

Check out our latest blog for how to get the most out of the new app.

Note: Please be patient if you don't see the update right away, as it will take some time to roll out completely.

Happy stepping!

Hi, could you share the old A.P.K please ? I definitively want to go back !

Best Answer

Kafski, you are *not* the only one. I'm 77. The double-outlined letters drive me nuts. I called Fitbit support & said, "I didn't buy this! There's no contrast on the screen. Things are missing. Information has been shrunken down till it's unreadable and virtually useless. I'm so disgusted!.Bring back the old app, or face the wrath of all your customers. There can't be a single one of them that likes this change."

Hi,
I was monitoring my kids fitbit in my app (kids view), but id disaears in the new version... As they are not in age of having a smartphone, if this functionnality does not exist anymore their fitbit becomes useless !

Is there a way to get the "kid view" back ?

A shame that new app has much less capabilites that old app...

Hi, Gr4ndp4. I have the Fitbit Charge 5. On the Today screen, when I scroll to the bottom, there's no link to "Customize." I no longer have Premium. Is customization reserved for Premium members?

can you understand that we are all moving to GARMIN or other competitors because as you can read in the blog this new style for the App SUCKS!!! PLEASE  GO BACK TO THE OLD VERSION...while you still have time.....but the time is becoming very short !!! I wonder who is the genie of the lamp who wanted to change everything!!! I hope he will be FIRED ASAP !!!! I'm really disgusted!

Pmattera, I called Fitbit support a couple of hours ago to complain. Everything you and others say here could be from my own mouth. I said the new design looks like it was done by a second grader. Just as you say, the information is no longer professional, specific and useful. It is a disgusting parody of what I had before. I want the old app back. ALL of it, including specific battery percentage level. If they wanted to get rid of everybody and make them buy a new super-duper Fitbit, they will accomplish the first goal, but not the second one! Why buy a better Fitbit from this company when in one year they will redesign it to make you sick to your stomach? This is not the way to treat your customers. Who are the crazy people who own Fitbit and make these stupid decisions?

bobby2478, I shuddered when I saw the name of "Google" in the Fitbit app. So when does that certain world power (not the USA) gain control of Google, turning all fitness trackers into personal spies and health data harvesters?

@Madheaduk Wow, such a nice battery percentage, showing 51% and a properly laid out yellow symbol on the right side!

Easy discoverable, intuitive, readily available! Pleasant designed UI element.

Hey, @RodrigoMFitbit want to write a 2x pager walkthrough "how to see my battery level on the new Fitbit app" also for this one here? Oh, wait a second, there isn't actually a need for your convoluted walkthrough paper explaining basic tasks because it's intuitive, no manual, no explanation needed.

Eug27, my sentiments exactly! I asked Fitbit support a couple of hours ago, "Who designed this thing? Who was responsible for this?" And "disgusted" is the precise word I used.

Tobias F, is the battery % only available for Premium members?

W202310040412aEDT

Best Answer

@GloriaHuffman nope, it was there for everybody regardless premium or not, Madheaduk was showing here a screenshot of the landing page of the old app (vers 3.x) that Google deliberately ruined with the update to 4.x, one of the damage done in the new app was that the battery percentage indicator as shown above is gone, some moderators here pretending it's still there but it's not

Does anyone know how to revert back?

Yeah, we have to get the old A.P.K from another market that GooglePlay and install manually. But doing so, there is a (heavy?) risk of installing a modified app with security breach in it unfortunately.

I will wait this week for an update to fix the swim distance issue, and after that week if no update from Google, I wll definitively get back to the old version.

Best Answer

So how do I go back to the previous version because this update looks like a first year app interface.

Best Answer

@Ezusmc "looks like a first year app" think you underestimated Fitbit's first app generation a little bit, it was looking way better as the mess we have today after Google took over 😂

This new one looks like something you let a toddler use

Best Answer

Horrible, blobby, blocky design. Default has duplicate entry to steps, zones, miles and calories. Synch is a bit random. Numbers are often inconsistent between summary and detail. 3/10 must try harder.
