I am unable to search or scan food items to log them in my fitbit app. I have already force stopped the app and restarted with no resolve. Foods in my recent and frequent lists appear but I'm unable to search for anything new.

I've tried everything, uninstalling and re installing the app, logging out, syncing, force stop. Nothing works. Now on top of that, my weight loss log is gone. Thanks Fitbit!

I have same problem guess our food doesn’t count anymore . Someone is probably working on new update and messing everything up that doesn’t need to be updated
---
Likely story they just don’t know what they did and can’t fix it

I'm having the same issue since yesterday. Anyone know what's going on?

Fitbit Support: are you listening at all?
This and other unresolved issues with the Fitbit wearables and app seem to be a deliberate motivation to switch to a different solution!?

This is very disappointing. I had hoped this app can be a one stop shop for logging exercise, logging food, sleep etc. so I can manage my health better. I had also just upgraded to Pixel Watch 4 but I am now trying out MyFitnessPal today because this is the second time the Food logging is having issues. This is just terrible integration and if MyFitnessPal premium works out more reliably I may just switch my subs to that because I am just a normal person who just wants to live healthier and just have a reliable app that works but this seems to be a low priority for Google.

I have done all these things and am still unsuccessful. I am able to create new foods manually but the scan feature is completely gone and I cannot search the database. My Fitbit is still syncing correctly. I have a Versa 2 and I’m on latest version of iOS.

Tried all steps. When I try to search, the app tells me to add a custom item. When I try to scan it says FitBit is down gor maintenance. Going on 2 days now

A release was out on Apple and I updated. It said "bug fixes" -- I figured it was this.
I was able to perform one search. After that one search, it stopped functioning and continued the same user experience as before the update. The search isn't working.

This is a non-responsive answer. Please retract it. The problem is on Google's end, not the device or local network. Please provide an ETA on service restoration.

I wonder whether it is more an API issue — databases intact, but nothing draws from that database?
Obviously, Fitbit is more aware than us!

The food databases globally seem to be inaccessible, not an issue with android or IOS. I would suggest notifying clients that your databases are down instead of having us jump through pointless hoops. Lack of communication lowers trust and loyalty. I know the protocol you follow doesn't come directly from you so please send this response to management .

Yes, it's still annoyingly happening.
I tried your suggestion yesterday, so doing it once again and expecting a different result would have Einstein rolling in his grave.
