Hello @AJ-FIT-1, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Samsung Galaxy S20 that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and let me know how it goes. Keep in mind that this specific mobile device is not listed yet as a compatible device with our products and services, therefore, you can experience some connection difficulties with it.

Keep me posted, I'll be around if you need anything else.

It is beyond ridiculous why this is not a compatible device already. You have just made my decision to switch to a Galaxy watch so much easier. Because if this I am not able to use my Charger 2 any longer. Say goodbye to customers!

That is absolutely no help at all, as you say at the end S20 not yet compatible with what is probably the most advertised phone of 2020.

My question to Fitbit is when will it be compatible.

Your reply is appreciated @AJ-FIT-1 and welcome aboard @ang2knight.

Let me share with you that we are constantly working and testing different mobile devices to make sure that they work as intended with our products and services. As it turns out, at this moment I'm unable to let you know when or if the Samsung Galaxy S20 will be added to our list of compatible devices, however, my best advice for you will be to constantly check our list of compatible devices for any update.

Let me know if you have any additional questions, I'll be around.

Just had a similar issue syncing my Fitbit Charge 2 with my new S20. I used the Smart Switch App to transfer from my old phone and it copied a bunch of things, including my Bluetooth connections and App settings.

As I've experienced in the past, the phone can't be connected using the native Bluetooth interface, you have to use the Fitbit connect interface.

It appears that the connection and the Firbit software have been transferred from one Samsung phone to another in a non-optimal state. This is what I did to resolve it...

- Remove the pairing of the Charge 2 device in Bluetooth settings.

- Uninstall the Fitbit app from your phone.

- Re-install the Fitbit app from the Play Store.

- Load, login and connect to your device using the Fitbit software

- When prompted about App Permissions, I selected to 'Allow location services at all times' - I had three options to choose from and figured I needed the 'at all times' option to allow GPS to work properly when out running or biking.

Now the App appears to have the correct permissions in order to do it's thing, after this it connected to my Charge 2 without issue.

My guess is that both the transfer of the Bluetooth connection and/or the transfer of the App permissions are what has broken the ability to sync. Removing the copied pairing and re-installing the App seems to kick it into life.

Hopefully this works for you too.

I was finally able to get my device to sync. I had to uninstall the app a few times and then remove the Fitbit and add it back a few times. I think with this you have to just keep trying with reinstalling both the app and the device.

Finally!! Yes also an app desktop and mobile will make it stick and stop
having to do those things as well. And it increases how often you have to
do all that in meantime
