Versa 2 not receiving phone call notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Text and app notifications work. I've followed directions for setup and trouble shooting videos on You Tube and still cannot get the phone notification to work. The "send a test call notification" never goes through. All of the settings are on, the volume on the phone is on, the do not disturb button is off...Curious if this is an issue with my phone, me or the Versa 2. Thank you!

Hi @Pwhitesp40, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Versa 2 are correctly configured.

After verifying the above, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

Keep me posted.

Thank you for the response. I have a Samsung Note 5 (approved for Versa 2) with Sprint. It is up to date. I have never been notified of calls, even the test call notification does not work. Once in a while, not consistently, I will see a notification that I missed a call.

I followed all troubleshooting steps, all notifications and connections look good. The only thing I did not do was the last troubleshooting step where it advises to "forget phone" in bluetooth and start again. I have an "unpair" option. Is this the same thing? I am concerned that I will have issues repairing.  Your thoughts?

I'm not the only one with issue I found out via a comment I left on a YouTube video regarding Versa 2 issues. Any one else have any advice? Thank you.

I started having this same issue yesterday. I have the Samsung S9. My Versa2 worked perfectly yesterday morning but then late in the afternoon all notifications stopped. I've unpaired/paired, restated phone/Versa several times, turned on/off Bluetooth, deleted/readded Versa 2. I'm at my wits end with this new device.

I just received a Fitbit Versa 2 yesterday.  I have a Samsung S8+ phone.  My Fitbit is NOT notifying me of calls.  It tells me I have a text message, but won't show me the message.  I'm hoping to learn why this is happening through his forum.

I don't know if this helps you but on my Note 5, I have to use the messenger app that came installed in the phone. No other text apps form the play store. Otherwise it will just notify me that I have a text. I can't reply to that text from the watch. I also have to have the location turned on. If not I don't receive any notifications. That kills my phone battery. Lastly, I have to shut off and turn back on the text message button in the notification section within the Fitbit app. every once in a while. It just stops notifying me.  Make sure your "BT Notifications" are enabled. I stumbled on this while trying to find a solution. I'm not too savvy with the technology LOL. Good luck! let us know if you find a solution.

My Versa 2, as of one hour ago, works. Receiving phone call notifications and I'm able to deny the call. The only thing I did prior to receiving notifications was change my watch time to match my phone. I waited for the minute to change on my watch and matched that with my phone. I was at home on Wi-Fi but that shouldn't have anything to do with it. NO IDEA why it works. Just an update.
