Any ideas when the S9 will be an option for the Versa?  Specifically looking at texts, etc. notifications on the Versa.

Hi Ricardo

I have spent countless hours on the phone with Fitbit support and big zero! I gave up and returned my Versa and bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Frontier instead,  nevertheless,  Fitbit needs to pay attention to what people are writing here and how far back in dates this issue goes. So far Fitbit has done nothing to solve this problem and well that's why Fitbit is losing Android users, no biggie, lots of Apple users out there but they are gravitating towards the Apple watch so where does that leave Fitbit??? Soon out of business,  wake up Fitbit, you are losing us!

Try deleting and reloading the app through google play not amazon.   Wife's versa fitbit would not sync at all during initial start up with amazon version of the app.

Reset your wife versa all over again and it will connect to the samsung
galaxy 9... my versa goes out every now and then... since my last reset I
haven't had any problems since

I hope it works long term for you.  I tried multi things more than once for my Versa including resetting and rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit Versa in the app.  It would sometimes connect and sync temporarily, but then the issues started again by the next day.  I finally gave up and purchased a Charge 3 which has been working flawlessly with my Galaxy S9+ and provides all the functions I need.  My only gripe about the Charge 3 is the font size is a bit too small to read while exercising.    It (Charge 3) works without problems.

Oh ok, let me know if it works.... I had YouTube on how to fix my versa and
that's when I start doing the resetting back to the factory way, and of
course I had to out everything back the way I had it... but make sure to
keep your phone next to your versa

Here's how I view this, if I am driving down the road in my car, and I have to put the car in neutral and restart it while driving, that's unacceptable,  if I have to pull over and take the battery out, then put the battery back in, that's unacceptable,  if I have to coast to the side of the road and wait for CAA to get a battery boost every 200 km, that's unacceptable.  So if I find it unacceptable in my car to have these annoyances why would I put up with it in my health Smartwatch?

Fix the problem Fitbit!

Hi

I will save you some time, forget the Versa and Versa Lite, they simply do not work on Android. Exchange them for a Versa 2 and report back here if you got it to work as I would be interested to know.  But to save time forget Fitbit and get yourself a Samsung Galaxy or Frontier smartwatch,  they work 100% out of the box in 5 minutes, they just learn how to use the watch.

Re Fitbit,  no one should have to do what you did, I did, and many others did to get a Smartwatch to work with an Android phone, that's ridiculous and insane to expect. But if the Versa 2 works easy 123 out of the box, I'd like to know and thousand others would also like to know your results.

Thanks

Load the app from Google Play. For some reason it would not work from any
other source.

This never worked for me (with my Verizon Samsung S9). I tried deleting and reinstalling the app from the Google App store several times among other fixes and finally gave up. I replaced the Versa with a Fitbit Charge 3 and have had no problems since then.

I have had my versa for one year today.  At first I did have trouble but now it works great.  I have the S9. Every now and then it won't give me my notifications but I'm able to fix it by either deleting the app and reinstalling for doing a shutdown of the watch.

Hi

I always install apps from Google play and trust me I tried EVERYTHING for days and days, weeks even with Fitbit Support and they gave up so.... that pretty much says it all. Bought Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch and I was up and running in 5 minutes!!!

Need I say more.
