All my other apps are sending my watch notifications except my Ring doorbell app. I have it checked in the list of app notifications but it still won't go to my versa watch. I think the Ring app updated last week and now for some reason I'm not getting notifications on my watch even though I'm still getting them on my phone and they are selected in the Fitbit app list.
Moderator edit: Updated subject for clarity
I just purchased my Versa 2 today. I upgraded from the Charge 2 becasuse I wanted to receive alerts from my Ring Doorbell. I am very disappointed. I wish I would of found this thread first. I dont get any alerts from the Ring doorbell but I do get alerts from the Ring home alarm system. Anytime they trigger any window or door with a sesor I get an alert on my Versa 2. But I dont get any alerts from the Ring app when the doorbell motion is triggered. I hope this is fix soon
I note that the latest update (received today) did not fix the problem.
I do miss the Pebble days, those guys got onto things and fixed them.
It's been several months now.... are you sure you are 'working on it'?
I think it broke more than it fixed. It's amazing how a perfectly functioning product that I loved is now a worthless piece of junk. Meaning I purchased it not only for fitness reasons but also for the notification features. I have been using these produnts for quite a few years but now I am seriously rethinking any future uograde purchases from this company. Way to go Fitbit team.
Well....I gave up and put my fitbit away. Got a galaxy watch active 2...and IT WORKS! I get ring doorbell and camera notifications and all others like I should. It also has a microphone and speaker so I can make and answer calls from my wrist. I am DONE with Fitbit.
Yes, I'm getting very frustrated with this issue. Seems like low hanging fruit that would make lots of people happy. My Fitbit happiness quotient is getting lower by the day.
Hi what's the sleep tracking like on the galaxy please, considering one myself tried Garmin but that's awful for sleep

Best AnswerI contacted Fitbit as I need to upgrade to a Versa to get the Ring Doorbell notification and this is their response:
"There's no option to connect Door Ringbell to any Fitbit device as of this time. We suggest posting it in our Ideas Board through the link we've previously provided to share our product developers your feedback. Let us know if you have additional questions.
I guess all of what they said might fix problem is not :hundred_points: true☹️
Best AnswerWow, way to leave us high and dry!
Best AnswerI must say I think I've had enough. Really disappointed in Fitbit's follow up on this issue and the lack of response (apart from the generic stuff).
I am ready to upgrade and was going to a Versa2 however I have now decided to look at either the Samsung or Garmin. If there are any other recommendations out there I am all ears.
You know, if Fitbit came out and said 'sorry, but unfortunately we are unlikely to have a fix for this issue and we are very sorry for the inconvenience etc etc' - At least you would know and I'd probably live with it. What I hate is empty promises - and that reflects poorly on their overall level of service.
Over and out.
While I don't have a solution, I believe I've found a workaround. You can use IFTTT (If This Then That) to set up a notification for the Ring doorbell. Then that notification can be set up to display on the Versa 2 (and presumably other Fitbit devices).
Install IFTTT from the Google Store, and connect it to Ring. Create an applet in IFTTT so that "If Doorbell rings, send a notification from the IFTTT app". Test it and verify that when you ring your doorbell, you get both the Ring notification AND the IFTTT notification on your phone. Assuming you do, you can set Fitbit up to display notifications from IFTTT since Ring notifications aren't working.
It works for me so far, and may be a viable option until someone fixes this issue. You can disable the official Ring notification if you like, so you're only receiving the IFTTT when the bell rings. There may be a 2-5 second delay in the notification, but it seems pretty snappy other than that. Hope that's helpful for some of you!
Thanks for the work around tip. I am now getting ring notifications. Hopefully fitbit will get their act together so we can get officil notifications.
