Versa not receiving Ring doorbell app notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All my other apps are sending my watch notifications except my Ring doorbell app.  I have it checked in the list of app notifications but it still won't go to my versa watch.  I think the Ring app updated last week and now for some reason I'm not getting notifications on my watch even though I'm still getting them on my phone and they are selected in the Fitbit app list.

Thanks. We've been looking to replace the stupid fitbit. It can't tell me who's calling ("Unknown Caller" problem) and can't work with Ring. That was the last straw. Their development department clearly can't fix simple problems...it or they just don't care. We'll check out the Samsung for sure!!!

How long does the battery last on the watch and have you had to turn off any settings to extend battery life?

What is battery life on the Samsung Active2 watch?

I get a good 3 to 4 days with continuous heart rate and motion activated
screen display. It will depend on some of your settings. I got the bigger
model bc it has a slightly bigger battery.

Mine stopped working well before google acquired fitbit.

Best Answer

I have done all that and still my Fitbits are not syncing with my ring doorbells

Best Answer
They wont sync.  We've all given up and just waiting till our fitbits die to switch to another smartwatch.
You can set up IFTT or connect your Ring device to Alexa.  Fitbit will get notifications from Alexa and IFTT..... for now.  It's a sad work around for a once renowned fitbit.

It's truly frustrating that they act like its something they are actively
working on. But arnt updating anything. Or giving the impression that they
care.
Best Answer

Exactly. Years go by and nothing gets done. As previously stated, I'm just waiting for mine to die so I can buy a Samsung.

It's easy to connect Ring to Alexa.  Just add the skill.  Then set up a Routine to send a notification when Ring is pressed or motion is sensed.  Set up your fitbit app to receipt allow notifications from Alexa.
You can answer the Ring doorbell with your Alexa.  If you have a newer model firestick, you can also answer and view the video feed on your TV.
So what does this mean?
Ring works.
Alexa works.
Fitbit sucks.

I tried the if this then that and lost patience, couldnt figure it out, and
was super annoyed by having to create yet another online profile.

I've spent most of the day trying to find a way to have my Ring camera notify my Fitbit HR.  Apparently they do not talk to one another.  The IFTTT workaround had no effect at all.  Perhaps I did not set it up properly but more than likely it's just that my cheap Fitbit isn't smart enough.  Don't think I'm going to up-purchase for a more expensive health tracker just to notify me my camera is disturbed.  There are other health trackers on the market that do much more for much less.  So long Fitbit, only a year and a half and it's time for Hulk to smash.

I have a fitbit ionic and ring notificatios stopped showing on the ionic after the ring app was updated last November. I called Ring but they wouldn't own the issue. My solution was finding and installing an older version (pror to Oct 2019) of the Ring app. This worked fine and continues to work (I disabled the auto update of the ring app).

Where can I find an older version file to safely download?

I just googled it and found an older version.
