My Android LG Stylo4 worked with my Alta fitbit until 9/25/2019. I thought it was the fitbit so I bought a Versa when trying to sync it I could only get as far as "found it". When I called customer service I was told there was an update that was done but didn't give me any real options on how to fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Nanapapa13  here is the list of compatible devices but I don't see your phone click to see

Android now requires Version 7 and higher for the newer app. Did you get the new app the past day or so?

Higher than 7, so you might have some of the functions. You get the new 3.7 app from Google Play?

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the app yesterday. It says it is the 3.7.

Hi @Odyssey13, nice to see you again. Thanks for your help and for notifying us the about the situation with @Nanapapa13 .

Hey @Nanapapa13 , a warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your information and for your feedback.

I assume that our Support Team informed that your device hasn't been tested yet for the compatibility with our apps, you could corroborate this on the article sent by Odessey13.

This list includes all mobile devices that have been found to be fully compatible with the features of our Fitbit trackers and watches and the Fitbit app.
If a phone or tablet has been confirmed by us as not fully supported, this or that device may still function with the Fitbit app.

If support haven't told you so, please have a look at this article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

You'll find information, tips, and instructions for your situation.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me. My phone worked just fine with the fitbit Alta I have, until 9/25/2019. As I said before I thought the Alta had quit working so I bought the Versa. When I tried to sync it I got as far as "found it" but can't get any further then that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have a Android LG Stylo 4 it is a version 8. I have uninstalled the app and then reinstalled the app. My phone worked fine with my Alta for almost two years, until they did an update. I think I am going to have to return the Versa to the store and find a product that will work with my phone.

Hi @Nanapapa13 , thank you for you reply and for your information. As stated on the previous post, if your phone is not listed as compatible, it doesn't mean it will not work at all.

Before you return your Versa, please do as follows, some steps you have already done, but the order is important:

  1. Make sure that there is no other Bluetooth device connected to the phone or nearby. (Headphones, keyboards, etc.)
  2. Restart your Versa.
  3. Please on the phone, go to Settings> Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that you can find with the Versa and the Alta. (Forget device, ignore or upair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone)
  4. Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (switch off and on again).
  5. When the phone is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again, but do NOT try to connect to the watch from here.
  6. Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.

Also if you were using a Wifi connection with your phone while pairing the Versa, I'll recommend to use the mobile data for the setup.

Also if you have access to another mobile device, a tablet, or another phone (borrowed from some else) please try the setup with it. Once your Versa is paired with your account, you should be able to sync it with the Stylo. You won't have to repeat the setup process. Then you can delete the App from the borrowed device.

Please keep me posted
