Weight data history and trends not available after 4.30

ANSWERED

With the installation of this new update, why is all history being either deleted or not displayed? For example I am a 9-year Fitbit member and my weight data is no longer available prior to the last 2 years. I enjoy looking at trends seeing where I've been and where I am at. But this information is no longer displayed when changing time ranges.

I had maybe 10 years of data before. I have a samsung galaxy S20 FE 5G

My step data was also corrupted after getting a new fitbit last fall with steps from one of my old ones disappearing

Mine still isn't showing anything before Jan 2025. This is so disappointing.

I have notice since the app and site has changed, I no long can see my weight history at all. Is there a setting I need to change from an update?

11 year member and it would not show graph for all time prior to January 2024.  I did the clear cache, reboot - suggestion then logged out and logged back in with my email.  I went to weight on the main page, month and left arrowed until I got to my start date (all recordings were visible each month) then selected all time and there was the chart again all the way from 2013.  This seems to work.

Prompted by your post I had a go at the tips. I had to uninstall and reinstall but this has now worked. Even better, I have the weight trend line back!

Thanks - shame we even got to this place but happy to have my weight data since 2013 back and more so the trend line.

I am also an android user and also have all missing data prior to 2022. I've been a fitbit user since 2011. Where is all my weight data??

Ugh, I did that and still isn't there. Hopefully I'll still be able to download the data.

I am in the same boat as everyone else. Have uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I have been able to export my data, and after digging around I have found it, albeit in a non user form (essentially a set of files with lists of weights, in the wrong unit -lb not kg). Also, I have been a user since 2011, and like another user I read about, I have just got an email congratulating me on 2 years-weird. And very annoying. I know that they must have product engineers somewhere that must be able to sort this out. Please. So many people would like to see their data back on the app!

"I downloaded the Archive of Google data, a 368 MB zip file, but could find no weight related data."

I didn't see my weight data at first glance, either.  However, I eventually found it hiding in the "Personal & Account" subfolder.

I've been having to log out and wipe app data at least once a day lately in order to see correct weight graphs. I shouldn't have to, no one should have to. Customer since 2016 and not once has the app ever been stable. It's gotten worse. Fix it, and don't expect us to have to find workarounds for it every day. It's not difficult.

I was able to see my full history on weight chart until v recently. Only goes back maybe 3 mo? Possibly since latest update? Can someone at fitbit please acknowledge this issue and say when it'll be fixed? It's my data, I want to be able to use the app to see it.

Oh. It was escalated in December. That fills me with confidence 🙄

I went to look at my "all time" weight graph today, and it now only shows the history from 2012, not for all time.

Why is it not showing earlier data?

There have been several changes to the Weight pages recently, and the following are all things which are now less good:

  • The BMI graph has gone
  • The graph showing fat/lean *weight* has gone
  • The lean percentage graph is completely useless, as it is merely the body fat percentage graph upside down
  • All the graphs showing more than 3 months of data now do too much averaging
  • You can't show data from the last elapsed year, only from the calendar year, and the number of data points per year is too few

You used to be able to see the old version of the app by clicking on the "manage data" option, but this now only allows you to delete data.
Overall the whole app is getting worse.

Hi. I'd just like to add my name to the list of customers seeking help on this.  just upgraded my phone from a Samsung S23 to a S25. Now the historical weight information more than 3 months back only shows averaged data to 2023. I haven't returned the S23 yet and it still shows my historical data back to 2016. As I scroll through this thread, I haven't yet found information on if/when this may be fixed. LizzyFitbit and Fitbit team, please post an update, thank you!

I moved everything across to a new phone and as if by a miracle, when I opened the fitbit app up, all my data back to 2014 appeared with trendlines. It loaded over a minute or so and I was so excited I took a ascreenshot (which I cannot add to this thread). Sadly, it has now disappeared again and I am back to the partial data. Whaaaaat is going on? I still have my screenshot which I am happy to supply.

Was there ever any update to this? My historical weight data is still missing. Only goes back to 2022.

My data is missing too. Why is this marked as answered when it's not?

@LizzyFitbit where is the update for this issue?

Best Answer

Did the weight history issue get resolved? My app is only showing weights on a rolling month basis.
