Why does Fitbit fake on the steps sometimes?

Fitbit fakes on the steps sometimes showing wrong number of steps. As of 9 AM today is shows the step count as 40,000 which is weird. I am using Fitbit app on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra phone. Is anyone of facing the similar issue?

I get the same issue for my Galaxy S10. I have deleted and re-added several times. Sometimes it corrects itself, other times it doesnt.
