fitbit is causing major battery drainage on my samsung galaxy s9 i felt my phone overheating in my pocket at work i had to pull it out fast cause it was hot and when i looked at the battery it was at 15% when i got home 1% then a min later 0% and phone shut done fast and i looked at the cpu and fitbit was using 35% and the app was closed off so there is an issue with the app
Same thing here on my Moto Z2 Force. Currently I've lost almost my entire battery over the past couple hours. Checked my battery settings and it shows Fitbit used 34%.
I just uninstalled the app to save what little battery I have left. I'll try to re-install later today.
There is a thread in the ionic forum with other complaints:

I just contacted support and they stated:
"In regards to the app issue. Upon reviewing in my system, I can see that our engineering team is aware of this issue and is working on a fix as we speak."
I'm having this issue too with my Galaxy S9! It worked just fine for the first month I got my new Fitbit Versa, but in the last week I've been having to charge my phone 3 times in a day just to get through! So annoying!
EDIT: Fitbit released an update that is supposed to fix the issue so I have updated the app and restarted my phone. Will update this post again with any impact on battery usage.
