Hello @Dkinahan, good to see you have joined the Fitbit Community. The exclamation mark is an indication of a Firmware update that might be stuck or was not successfully installed.

First make sure your phone is a compatible device. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices.

If your phone is compatible try to do the following steps:

  1. Verify that the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device. the latest version for Android is 2.48
  2. With your charged tracker nearby, open the Fitbit app.
  3. Tap or click the Account icon located in the right upper corner of the screen
  4. Tap or click your tracker tile.
  5. Tap or click the pink Update Tracker button. You'll only see an option to update your tracker if updates are available.
  6. Follow the prompts onscreen and keep the tracker close to the mobile device during the update. If the update is slow, don't remove your tracker from your account as a troubleshooting measure.

If the tracker keep failing proceed to try the following:

  1. Turn your tracker off and on again using the instructions in this post: How to restart your Charge 2?
  2. Try the firmware update again. If it doesn't work, reboot your mobile device and try the update again.
  3. Try the firmware update again. If it doesn't work, on a different mobile device or computer (if available) log into your Fitbit account and try updating your firmware.

Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be around.
